Then again, I'm not watching now. So in other words, I'll just think its stupid. The guy, IMO, is so ingrained in comedy right now, that he's never going to overcome it, much like Santino.

Really? Considering he's usually regarded as the best part of the show every time hes on, I think a lot of people would disagree
I wouldnt call him a Santino. The man is still regarded despite his appeal in comedy as a fighter. It wouldnt be too hard to turn him serious
If anything Id say hes closest to Eddie G in the 2002 to 2003 period.

Agreed. If The Miz can be WWE Champion, Bryan should be a lock, but who knows what is going on in Vince's mind. Like Redead said he has grown and if you think he isn't ready now, you better bet he will be soon enough.
- In Ring Talent? Check.
- Over with the Crowd? Check.
- Charisma? Check.
- Promo Ability. Passable and Improving.
The only real knock on the guy is his size, but that's not enough of a reason to deny him a title.

Yeah, well I'm above brainless comedy that involves a man resembling a troll chanting something as mind numbing as YES and NO, and then arguing with a man a foot taller than him over which single person holds a championship designed to be shared. Its not funny, it never was. Every time he does it, all of the Bryan dick suckers clap their hands like some retarded seal and chant "BRYAN DID IT, HE FUNNY, GREATEST OF ALL TIME!" I, on the other hand, think its incredibly stupid, irritating, makes me want Bryan off my screen and last but not least, its a shocking misuse of talent. I seriously cannot fathom why anyone else would think Bryan is entertaining right now. So I couldn't give two shits who disagrees with me and thinks he's the best part of the show, I, KO Bossy, do not enjoy him, so I speak from what I want to see.
Also, I think it would be hard to turn him serious. This YES and NO crap is gonna follow this guy for the rest of his career. He'll be trying to cut a serious, scathing promo and he'll get drowned out with losers at ring side shouting YES at him, same way they interrupted Taker with the WHAT? chants in the RTWM. Santino and Eddie do/did not have a catchphrase that basically defined them as a comedy act. Bryan does. No matter what they repackage him as, the fans will still try to argue with him when he comes down the ramp and shout all of his lame, asinine, meaningless catchphrases, or they'll chant for a big hug in the middle of the ring. They won't be able to shake their image of him as this comedy act, so either he'll change characters and no one will take him seriously, or they'll keep him the way he is now for the rest of his career.
Lose-lose.

He's just a midcard jobber now. A loser, his time has come and gone.

Re: Will Daniel Bryan ever be WWE champion?
I honestly believe he will be. I can't see it in the next 2 years though. Maybe 3/4 years.

Daniel Bryan's evolution can't be stopped. If he doesn't win the title, he will simply move through the title.

Re: Will Daniel Bryan ever be WWE champion?
Nope, he's too far down the comedy hole.
See what real main eventers who are doing a comedy schtick like DX would have vignettes being goofy, but not in their actual matches and they would be serious. They also had massive decade long careers of being perennial main eventers with serious money-drawing moments that defined who they were to the audience BEFORE doing any of the comedy bullshit. Bryan is a comedy goof during his matches, during his promos, during his segments, during his everything. He doesn't have any genuine main event moments that actually put HIM over as a winner for casuals to have faith in nevermind a decade. When he got scared of Big Show's finger and hid behind Kane as being legitimately intimidated and scared instead of mock fear like any real star would've been booked to do, that was the moment he became Eric Young.

I do have one question for anyone who might feel that Dwayne Johnson "owes" the business. Is it just him, or is it anyone who moved on to other things? Should Luna Vachon get heat for running a towing company instead of working on RAW? Should Maven be critiqued on his Home Shopping Network bits instead of wrestling?
Or is it only the ones who go on to highly visible careers in movies that owe something? Why do Johnson (who left after putting people over, doing the traditionally "right thing") and Lesnar (who did not; except for making Eddie a legitimate star) get called sell-outs who "forgot where they came from" when someone who retires to do some regular job get credit (as they should) for moving on and making it without falling into a sea of addiction?
