Goldberg appeared on every Raw and ppv after winning the belt. The Rock may not even appear at Elimination Chamber and who knows how many Raws he can make.

Definitely true; however, he didn't work house shows during his reign, as I understand it. I suppose it boils down to different definitions of "full time". I do agree, however, that 2003 Goldberg is more full-time than 2013 Rock would be. Hell, even as champion, he'd probably spend half his time reigning VIA SATELLITE BITCHES.

Rock winning the title would be bittersweet for the WWE. On one hand they have a major player in Hollywood taking the belt all over the country and world and thus bringing a lot of exposure to it and on another hand,he'll also be the most legitimate guy to take the title off of Punk because if not even Cena could take the title from Punk then the guy who beat Cena at WM should be able to do it. And lastly, Rock holding the belt will probably boost some ratings and the RR buyrate should get a decent rise. The title may lose some credibility though because Rock won't even be there to defend it and they may not even waste him on a B level ppv like EC. Also, he has a crazy schedule and I doubt that he can make all the Raws live for almost three months. So, I do see some via satellite promos from Rock as WWE Champion occurring. I just hope they don't have him carry that belt anymore and introduce a new one. If you're gonna have Rock walk around with it to public appearances, at least have the belt look like a championship belt and not a toy.

Re: Who should CM Punk drop the title to ???
I would like to see Punk drop it to Rock, but I think some of the shine put back on the belt (say what you want, his matches with Jericho, Bryan, and Cena were really really good) and take it away because The Rock wont defend at Elimination Chamber, especially not in the Chamber. The other issue I have is that the next logical move is Rock vs Cena II: For the second time in a lifetime.
Really kind of takes the luster off a really good match at last WM, eh?

He should have dropped it to Ryback at HIAC but he'll drop it to Rock now I suspect.

Re: Who should CM Punk drop the title to ???
Someone who could use it to future their career by being the guy who ended CM Punk's historic WWE Championship reign and was finally able to shut him up. Someone who could use the win to be pushed, or established as a big time player in the company for years to come. Someone who can use it to move up.
Unfortunately, we all know who's going to beat CM Punk for the WWE Championship: The Rock at Royal Rumble 2013. The first second he said, "The Rock is going to be WWE Champion," he already had the belt.

Re: Who should CM Punk drop the title to ???
We all know he is going to drop it to The Rock at the Royal Rumble which will draw a lot more attention when it will happen. Also there has been rumors around that he might change the belt's design, that will be even sweeter for us and the WWE itself!

Punk's reign doesn't mean anything besides being a number. Next to nothing is memorable about it imo. Him facing The Rock will be the most memorable part of his reign. There's nothing "unfortunate" about it. It legitimizes his reign. Right now it's just a meaningless number. Once he loses the title, one PPV later, it's little more than a footnote during promos for him to bring up and you know it.
Punk isn't a big enough star (or heel) to actually put someone over by that much if he loses to them. Punk doesn't have some kind of reign of terror like Henry, it's just. . .sorta there. You guys are gonna bitch no matter who they put over him.
They need a big star to put over Punk to make his title reign seem the least bit legitimate. But people are going to bitch hard if it's Cena. . .so it's smart to use The Rock as a transitional champion. Then we'll get some much needed WWE title movement for a change.

The Rock holding the title for a couple months would make it mean more than Punk's 400+ days combined imo. Ratings would soar, buyrates would go up, anyone who gets put over him gets a far greater boost than someone getting put over Punk.

Re: Who should CM Punk drop the title to ???
it will lose all credibility if someone on the roster would win now since he´s been dominate over a year, except for Ryback. But, if Punk retains at ss, Ryback is gone from the title picture too. My guess go to Rock leading up for Rock - Cena title match att wwe where Cena wins the title back and Rock leaves.
