Re: Do you want to see Ryback vs. Brock Lesnar?

if they want to push ryback as a monster putting him in a match with the number one wwe monster off all time is a bad idea.

if brock can get vince to pay him 5m a year with limited dates do you not think brock would want to go over ryback? do you think vince would say no to it ? no chance brock gets what he wants its that simple and there is no way brock is gonna allow some bill goldberg rip off go over him. same as the rock and cena. cena is never going over the rock not in my life time.

brock would make ryback look like a puppet as ryback is just full off air. cant lift for shite. brock is bigger and better and a hell off alot stronger

Lettuce be cereal, Ryback is just a vanilla manmore. Lesnar is a genetic freak. I prefer Ryback to most guys in the roster since he actually has some presence and presentation, but putting him in the ring with Lesnar is like putting The Miz in the ring with The Rock.

Re: Do you want to see Ryback vs. Brock Lesnar?

If Lesnar is still around next year then definitely, Ryback should have enough momentum behind him to go up against Lesnar. People complaining about Goldberg and Lesnar having a bad match are obviously oblivious to the situation that the two were in at the time and need to remember it was nearly nearly 9 years ago for fuck sake move on. I'd love to see this match when Ryback is ready and only if Ryback wins.

I'm a bit more biased against Ryback than you but you hit right on the money when you make the comparison Ryback vs Lesnar to Miz vs Rock.

I watched some old Lesnar footage yesterday, from when he was new in the company and therefor also pretty green. Man, that was a completely different beast than Ryback is now (and, to be fair, to pretty much anyone in wrestling ever). When he lifted guys he did it so effortlessly that they almost was thrown away instead of staying on his shoulders. He threw around guys like Rikishi was easier than Ryback throws smaller guys (and I'm not even counting failing to lift Heyman and so on). Combined with the realistic aura he's gotten from the UFC he would make Ryback look bad, even if Ryback was going over.

I generally thing big guys are less interesting because they can't move well, get tired and all that. Watching Lesnar made me really miss him because he changed everything about that.

not now. I like both guys (especially Lesnar), but no. It would be bad for both of them. If Lesnar signs another deal (likely), than maybe.

I don't really get your point here tbh. You're talking about ASSISTED MOVES here, I was just referring to the actual strength difference between Lesnar, a legit freak, to Ryback, a strong guy...but not quite Lesnar material. It's far more than just strength in weightlifting terms that matters, Lesnar was a 2 times NCAA champion and he gave the aura in the ring that he was a legit badass aswell since he has huge amateur wrestling achievements. Ryback never did anything in combat sports and hence why he can't reproduce the aura of a legit badass, but make no mistake, strength =/ badass cause if that were so, Rob Terry would be the 2nd biggerst badass in all of wrestling next to Mark Henry, as he can lift more than Lesnar in his prime ever could, yet I think nobody would ever consider him more badass than Lesnar, and for a good reason.

I'm not saying strength isn't important, because it is, but when it comes to powerwrestlers, strength + charisma + presence > all. Ryback, while beeing strong to modern day wrestlers has only the charisma department in check, and his aura fades because he just can't keep up with the strength feats of the wrestlers in the past, nor is he a legit badass who did martial arts training.

I'm guessing there's some misunderstanding here because I was agreeing with you (other than that Ryback's charisma doesn't work for me).

Lesnar wasn't throwing people up because they assisted him, you could see how he just threw people around regardless if they helped or not. And the F5 is all him when he's gotten them up on his shoulders. You are of course correct in that the ability to throw people around (which doesn't look as good if there's not good technique behind it), but I also think that Lesnar worked far better than Ryback when it comes to charisma and presence. Lesnar looked like someone that just loved to destroy people, Ryback just makes me puzzled when he stands there pumping his arms and repeating his catch phrase. I guess the difference is that I don't think Ryback feels natural in his monster character, he feels more scripted in his mannerisms.

The bottom line was how it would look if they were put together in a match and I just see Lesnar being far more of a monster in every way, save for perhaps booking. An interesting thing is that Lesnar was that intense monster and could at the same time sell people's offense pretty well at times (almost doing some Rock type of staggering when he was being punched), which is so much more interesting than the ones that just no-sell.

Re: Do you want to see Ryback vs. Brock Lesnar?

I didn't get Batista vs. Lesnar (other than an OVW match) so I'll settle for Ryback vs. Lesnar, or hell if Big Dave ever comes back for a short run, Ryback vs. Batista.

I for Matt Hardy (A Matt Hardy guy since '99):
