What a bad way to write an authority figure, seems like the writers just can't work a female figure into that position. Vickie gets the same heat so pretty much useless in her role and title.

Was talking more about how she's written terribly. Cena bullied her and called her ugly, someone in her "position" should have the power to punish him at least. Even some cliche against the odds handicap match is better than neutering your authority figure, Cena had zero fear in saying whatever he wanted to her. Force two faces against each other, something like feed him to Ryback.

Technically she didn't even make the match. Foley/Punk agreed to do it. So Vince really didn't overrule her.

GMs are a waste of time and just provide an excuse for lazy booking when they inevitably make formulaic main-event tag-team matches, which is all they ever seem to do aside from get involved in ridiculous power-struggle storylines every few months. The GM position should be abolished and Vince or HHH should appear as legitimate authority figures for issues that actually require a response, such as Maddox's actions at HIAC.
