This probably sounds like a strange idea, but it could be quite interesting. After Team Hell No break-up, Daniel Bryan will need something to do, and I was thinking that it'd be pretty interesting if he won or challenged for the Intercontinental Title. He probably won't be able to challenge for the WWE Title until after WM, so why not give him a shot at the IC Title. Some of the greatest Technicians of all time held that belt, so it'd be nice to see DB get a run with it. He'd put on some great matches, and bring even more credibility back to the belt.
Yes, he should. Bryan doesn't need to be in World title picture. He can be gold in any division, why not help the Intercontinental Title by putting it on Bryan? It would be an entertaining reign and would give him something more to do before he goes back to main event. Bryan will be much more entertaining in the main event if he isn't in it all the time, we would mark out for him to finally go up into the main event. I just think he's doing great where he is, his main event run wasn't really that impressive, he needs time before he goes back or else they might ruin him.
Apparently, WWE is planning on having Wade Barrett vs. Sheamus as SmackDown's main event at WrestleMania, so they aren't gonna take the World Heavyweight Championship off of him until then. What's the point of having Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan again? CM Punk isn't going to lose the WWE Title until at least Royal Rumble, and I don't think WWE will do a heel vs. heel match between those two either, so he can't win the major titles.
Yeah he should,I'd be happy to see Bryan be one of the men who held the IC title as the IC championship still has its credibility and has been captured by many greats "Damn shame Miz won it but whatever".Daniel could win the belt after he loses the tag team title and just keep feuding with mid carders for awhile then suddenly feud with the person holding the WWE championship,I'd be real happy if Bryan held both WWE and IC titles.
That would be awesome. I'm hoping to see Seth Rollins vs. Daniel Bryan one day. I'd imagine the two would work an amazing match. WWE would be able to give his matches even more time if he held both titles, and it could lead to a 5-Star match. I'd just be happy to see him hold either one.
Definitely but I don't see Him & Kane breaking up any time soon. I guess he could challenge for it at the Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania. I'd love to see a match between him and Kofi if they are given plenty of time. Bryan or Sandow would be a great choices for Kofi to drop the title to but they need to give Kofi some time with it. He literally just won the title. He has some momentum going and could do some good for the title.
After they break up, sure. I don't think WWE are planning on a big push just yet and the IC is a pretty credible title, and as he showed when he debuted anhd took the U.S Title, he'll put on good matches regardless. Heck, it's Kofi Kingston who's got the title at the moment and I believe a house show said when they put on a 20 minute match it was match of the night hands down. Plus he'd be triple crown if he won it and I still care at least about that.
-Turn him full face after Survivor Series
-Win the IC title
-Win the Royal Rumble
-Challenge for and win the World title at Wrestlemania as IC Champion.
Dead serious. They'll never do it, but the fans would buy into it so much especially because it's Bryan.
Since Christian, Cody Rhodes, The Miz and Kofi Kingston started putting on great matches for it. I honestly thought people stopped acting like this when Christian won it.
The last time the title had some credibility was when Jericho & Mysterio were feuding over it.
The fact that people went gaga over Rhodes bringing back the old school IC title just shows how low it's become.
I'd like to see it. I think a main eventer needs to hold the IC Title to build it back up so that WWE can be comfortable enough to merge the two world titles.
Why not. He has hasn't been IC Champion before and he could give the title more exposure like he's doing now with the Tag Team Titles. More importantly for me, it would keep him in the midcard where he belongs.
I don't have a problem with this he would make the title really credible and it is a workhorses title but i don't want him to be in the midcard for ever just something he does until he gets back in the main event and gets the wwe title.
Bryan doesn't need it, this should be the next thing on Sandow's agenda. Have him beat Kofi at Survivor Series and run with him as the champion.

Nope, the intercontinental belt used to have prestige but it's no more the case now, it works just for newbies that needs some spotlight before they make a name for themselves, for anyone else it's almost a depush (maybe not "almost")
Daniel Bryan should be competing for the World Championship at this point. He's got more heat than most of the guys on the roster. He's so over it's unbelievable that they haven't got him in the main event picture. The World Championship match at WM should be a Bryan vs Sheamus rematch with Bryan winning the title and getting a decent reign with it.
Hey, why not? Daniel Bryan has never held the Intercontinental Championship so it'd be something very refreshing and intriguing, and he can bring some credibility back to the title. And I actually prefer him being a mid-card champion rather than a main-event champion, so this would be fine by me.

I highly doubt this is going to happen. WWE just loves burying Wade Barrett, and they've given this match away on TV several times. If anything, it'll most likely be Sheamus against Randy Orton.
^ I'd mark if he was the IC champ and Kane became the US champ and then they would argue about who's better lol. Hmmmmm, maybe that could be a way to unify the titles? See who's the ultimate midcard champion or whatever.
I understand the pros and cons of having one midcard title, but if WWE actually goes through with this, it could be a way to achieve it potentially.
I'm a huge Daniel Bryan fan and I would love to see him win the Intercontinental Championship. I don't see it as a "Step Down" or "Less Important" unless they stick him with the title and forget about him for 6 months.
Bryan can't have a "step down" because he's one-fifth of what the show revolves around. The shows revolve around whoever CM Punk, Cena, Sheamus, Orton (when he's around, otherwise Del Rio), and Bryan. Anybody else is filler just waiting to get into a feud with one of them.
Lol at marks not wanting him to win it because it's not as prestigious as the world belts.
Just let him have a run with it. It's better to see him get some honest build up before he wins another world title. It's bad enough he won his first world title in the absolute worst way possible. Plus, don't you fanatics want him to go down as a Triple Crown Champion?
Anyway, he is still a tag champ, so let him run with that before getting all excited about his next title win. I could care less when and what championships he will win. I cannot see him having any big world title victories for some time, but who cares if he's entertaining you? He and Kane made the Tag Team Championships relevant for the first time in ages. He could do the same with the Intercontinental Championship.

lol show me a fan who's happy to just see their favorite wrestler putting on entertaining match but getting little if any spotlight.
Part of the reason the belts are relevant again is because there's a division being built around them.
If that wasn't happening i'd be disappointed in them winning the belts, just like Miz & Christian winning the IC title.
