If Jericho's right, he's right. Not much to dispute. It just so happens that he's right most of the time.

Jericho knows what he's talking about,Punk does have the potential to become one of the biggest heels in WWE history.

I'm a big Jericho fan but I'm just sick of the love that IWC darlings get for stating the obvious. If somebody like Sheamus said this people would probably find a way to bash him.

Most wouldn't bash the statement. They would bash him for being shit.

As long as Punk doesn't get shitty booking he'll be way far and above any heel in the past years. Other than HHH of course.

Cena already has most of the audience boo him, so as the #1 face, it can happen. Cena will usually be booked as the #1 guy in the company, but not as face or heel.

I swear to God that guys like X-Pac MEV and Daniel Bryan are going to be the death of this business. I guarantee that a WM with those two facing each other in the main event would not even draw 300,000 buys. They are both talented. (D Bryan has all around talent, X-Pac MEV knows what the smarks want to hear and he would really be a big help to the Smackdown midcard), but they don't have that extra "it". You know, that "it" factor that wrestlers that are hated by the IWC possess.

Cena is already a better face. Do you guys realize that if/when Cena turns heel, X-Pac MEV is fucked? He will be that one guy that heel Cena and his cronies will laugh at everytime he opens his mouth. It will be like when Roddy Piper was speaking in tongues after the NWO whooped his ass.

Re: Chris Jericho's Theory on Punk's Heel Turn
Jericho on WWE hating you for doing stuff without them.
Quote:
"I don't know if it's bullsh*t but there is very much that attitude in WWE – sometimes 'if you're not with us you're against us'. It's been there so long I find it kinda weird. As you and I know, WWE lives in its own world and you can see that for any outside ventures that they do.
"I'm always cool with them and always open to going back, but it's difficult – I would have liked to have done more, maybe, but they want your time exclusively and the longer I've been there, the less time I have. Hopefully we'll work together in the future. If we don't, well, I can walk away knowing I had an amazing run and achieved everything I wanted to achieve in wrestling."
