i don't think a tweeners can last long in wwe unless its someone like kane, taker, and austin. Sooner or later they go down the face or heel route, its like there building heat for the foundations of there face or heel run

Re: Beginning to understand why they turned Punk into the complete opposite...

I dont mind him being a face... the rebel face... not the smaller more tattoed and bearded version of john cena babyface. I think rebel punk vs cena would have been better. People would have cheered punk and bood cena... i prefer it that way round. Much more entertaining

Other then the fact that he was getting huge face reactions and about 90% of the crowd was supporting him.

I like how Punk isn't a typical prototype face like John Cena or Sheamus are. Punk changing up his character every year or so is a good move to keep him interesting. I don't mind Punk turning heel or face every year because he can play both really good.

Wait, so are you suggesting 90% of fans were supporting him when he was the leader of the New Nexus?

I love professional-wrestling.

That's what I said. They milked the audience reaction instead of serving the story/character.

I think it was the right decision to turn him face after the shoot. The support he gained from that was huge even if some of the things he said were heelish. He might have been a great heel if they stayed on that route but they would've missed out on the opportunity for a new top babyface. Considering they only had one of those, it was the best way to go.

Agreed. Heel turns are always a bigger deal when the Superstar is coming off a significant face run.

However, people were cheering Punk's rebellious character, and not the babyface he ultimately turned into.
