Re: WWE Expected To Bring Back Attitude Era Stars Earlier Than Expected

Obviously the writing sucks which doesnt help the current crop of superstars, and bringing back old attitude era guys with shit writing isnt gonna help all that much either...

I wonder how long before someone realises that Linda's campaign run is hurting the company because they are trying to hard to be PC and not leaving the writers with much to go on...I'm not talking about bringing back a full on attitude era to fix the ratings, just ditch the PG crap and be a little bit more edgy.

The main event segment with Punk and Vince and how the crowd got behind it should show Vince what needs to be done instead of booking Larry King and his wife to interview the Miz and Kofi.

Re: WWE Expected To Bring Back Attitude Era Stars Earlier Than Expected

Here's the main problem. First stuff like UFC makes wrestling to the average citizen look like a joke. Next, the corny PG stuff isolates the hardcore wrestling fans. Lastly, WWE's main stars they have built over the past couple years have left the company for one reason or another such as Edge, Batista, Jeff and Matt Hardy, etc. Also now legends are starting to retire or be part time like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Undertaker, etc. They let their best stars just slip through their hands and that is killing the product. Not to mention there's an extreme lack of talent for a 3 hour show which is now mostly filled with filler. I can understand why a lot of people are tuning out.

Re: WWE Expected To Bring Back Attitude Era Stars Earlier Than Expected

The answer is right under WWE's noses, but they can't see it...

Beating John Cena MORE THAN ONCE is the instant ticket to legitimizing someone. Now, that's just an example - it shouldn't be Justin Gabriel. But it isn't coincidence that Punk became a top start the moment he beat Cena, then beat him again. Randy Orton peaked when he was going over Cena. Wade Barrett was at his most over the night after Hell in a Cell 2010, when he beat Cena. The same is true for others.

Cena will be a top star no matter what, but if you borrow some of his heat and transfer it to someone else, they'll be over. Imagine how over Dolph Ziggler would be if he beat Cena two or three times.

God, this third hour of Raw really drags...

Why not? He's got excellent charisma, he's handsome, exciting to watch in the ring but not a non-stop Jeff Hardy spotfest. Stick him in the position that would have been occupied by Hardy if he hadn't decided to be "Tina's" man instead of Vince's.

I swear, I have heard it all now. Next you'll be telling me that Tensai can cut one hell of a promo.

are you serious? They'll go this far to make sure that no new stars are created?! Jesus Christ. Unless of course they plan on using the attitude era stars to put over the younger talent however i really doubt that.

Go watch last week's NXT and see how the Full Sail crowd popped for him and Tyson Kidd. He's charming.

It's not this simple at all. Punk's beaten Cena multiple times but somehow he has to beat him AGAIN to "prove himself." Punk is the number two who SHOULD be number one but can't because they won't even dare to imply that he can be above Cena in any way.

Orton was at his hottest when he was locked in a heated feud with Triple H. Then they used that to build a big feud with Cena but of course, they made Orton look like such a bitch the fans grew sick of it and he ended up turning face.

Barrett LOOKED strong while feuding with Cena but it ended with Cena LITERALLY burying him. The next time they faced off in the ring, Cena beat him in less than five minutes with a complete Five Moves of Doom sequence with a smile on his face as if to definitively say Barrett won't ever be back at this level.

It's not just beating Cena more than once, it's beating Cena and making it matter in the long run. They don't need to transfer heat, they need to use his heat to LEGITIMATELY put someone over. The only person it's happened with is Punk, but even now they're practically trying to ruin that.

It's About Damn Time.

WWE bunch of hypocrites. WWE removing Attitude Era content to protect Linda's campaign and now you're going to bring back the stars that created that content?
