Epico and Primo had a combined weight of around 432 lbs if we go by billed weight (Used wikipedia) so why exactly did he have a problem with Tensei last week?

Because he sandbagged him, wasn't that obvious a week ago?

Ryback was hugely over tonight. Was awesome. Even though this little feud with Punk is just filler because Cena is injured, the fact they're letting him feuding with the WWE Champion this early into his career is a great sign about what they think of him and his future looks bright.

Because Tensai likely sandbagged.

Ryback can legit draw big money if handled correctly. He could be the biggest guy in the company.

I still can't believe how over this guy is right now, especially after the Tensai botch. Did that do any harm at all? Like, would the pops and chanting tonight have been louder if he had pulled the Shell Shocked off?

He has a chance to be big... but he isn't the next Goldberg if that is what the WWE wants. He isn't good enough yet and his push is too fast. He isn't ready for the ME and this will expose him badly. It's better to hold back a push longer than you need than to rush it.. we've seen capable stars ruined by pushes that were just too damn fast.

I agree, they shouldn't pull the trigger yet. They could have even made money on well booked upper midcard feuds with Ryback, like Tensai had he not been buried, Show, and Henry, if he ever returns.

The pop heard when he clotheslined Punk was unreal for someone who had only been in the WWE a matter of months and only squishing jobbers. He is rising really quickly, definitely too early to be in the title picture, which makes me hope Punk picks Cena next week, although it's likely it will be a triple threat with Punk pinning Cena so they can say Ryback has never been pinned.

Problem is, where does this leave Ryback after this little "feud" ?

He's going to be pretty big. I said this a couple months ago tbh, and with every passing week it gets more and more obvious. The guy has caught fire with the crowd and quite frankly might've had the biggest pops of the night (arguably only short of Cena first coming out at the start of the show).

I doubt Vince gives a damn if a few thousand dipshits who whine about 95% of what's on the show anyway hate Ryback if a few hundred thousand other people like him and want to see him.

30 is old now? WWE isn't NBA basketball (though the western conference finals last year did look like it had a scripted outcome), 30 isn't "old" in wrestling.

Punk's about to turn 34. So his "big push" started when he was 32 1/2. He had another pretty big push before that as the new nexus leader (also at 32). He also got his first big push at 29 1/2, and another one at 30 1/2. He missed a huge amount of time after that due to injury and had to be repushed again.

He already Shell-Shocked Tensai on Smackdown before the sandbagged attempt. So clearly he can do it since he did it less than a week before the botched finish. Facts are cool, especially when you're trying to make a point.
