and btw, Austin became a megastar because of his gimmick, not because he had the match of the night everyday at WCW, and as much as it might hurt you to read this, 99% of Austin fans are fans of "Stone Cold" , not the "ringmaster" or "Stunning Steve"

He did have a joke gimmick, on NXT, and he was exactly that, a joke. Another reason why I have trouble taking him seriously as this big destroyer is I watched the inaugural season of NXT when he was "The Corn Fed Meathead" with his fake Austin jacket and his lil cute cowboy hat. This is a guy that did clean televised jobs to the likes of Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater, and used to encourage the crowd to say "Yip Yip Yip, What it do?" with him.

This "I will stay forever" is such a BS comment. What if he acts like an idiot and fails the wellness policy? What if Hollywood offers him more money? What if he has an argument with Vince or Triple H and wants to leave WWE? what if he feels burned out?
I also love some comments here, when he says something stupid then it was not him, it was WWE who made him say that in their kayfabe magazine, but when he says how he loves the business then it was him because he is so passionate LOL
He is just 2 years part of the main roster and that must be a guarantee that he loves the business, how passionate

TBH what he said is completely true. Goldberg was never such a great wrestler, if we can get someone like Ryback who has Goldberg's intensity and better wrestling skills, we're in for a treat. But of course, just because most people here grew up seeing Goldberg, they will never see Ryback as the next Goldberg, and will try to bury him as much as possible.

I just really wanna see what he can produce on the mic aswell tbh, if he's even average on the mic then he has a good chance of becoming a big time superstar in the WWE
If Cena is ready, he will be the one who fights Punk at HIAC, no doubt.
but!... it has nothing to do with the fact that Vince's plains for Ryback are huge and we will see him at the top spot, somewhere by Wrestlemania. perhaps even earlier, when he wins the Royal Rumble. we will not see Ryback fueding with guys like Mahal, Tensai, etc anymore. even if he doesn't fights Punk at HIAC he will be in the mainevent picture for sure. perhaps even fueding with top heels like Leasner/ ADR/ Big Show (and ofcourse beat them ), till his Royal Rumble victory.
WWE needs (!!!) a new top face to replace Cena, and I don't see anyone of the new roster who is even a close one to that level of "it" factor, like Ryback. I don't see any other decent option.

well my point was he is kind of the next 'big thing'.
Oh and to the people saying Ryback isn't is big as Goldberg. Well first of all Goldberg got a big build in WCW which was way more popular than WWE is right now, so that made him a really big start before he even came to WWE. Ryback however has managed to become quite a big star on his own in only a couple of months.
