Re: HOW BIG CAN RYBACK BE?
Besides, it hard for me to take this undefeated streak seriously considering this was only two years ago.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yYVSmaMw90
Why do so many fans ignore such a recent past? Yes, he has changed his name, but it's still the same guy. If this were 8 years separating all of this, it would be different for me. However, they are pushing this man to the moon with this streak. Wade has already defeated him as far as I am concerned.

Depends on how good he can talk on the mic.

I don't think you can compare Lesnar with Ryback in any form. It's simply unfair to Ryback.
It remains to be seen what Ryback can bring to the table. He's certainly carving out a great gimmick, but the last time we got a good look at his ring work/mic skills he was decent at best.
|
I wasn't trying to compare the two, I was just responding to a poster who thinks Ryback's lack of mic skills/promo ability might hinder his chances of getting pushed to the top. Even if Ryback's mic skills are bad (we haven't seen enough of Ryback on the mic to really judge what he's like yet) do you think that will hinder Vince pushing him as a top guy? Hell no. If Vince is high on you, he'll push you no matter what, and regardless of any flaws you may have as a performer, just look at Del Rio for example, he's bad on the mic and couldn't get a reaction out of the crowd for a year, but that didn't stop WWE putting MITB and two WWE Title reigns on him. Not to mention, Ryback character is one that isn't really required to speak, so what he's like on the mic is pretty damn irrelevant at the moment. If he feuds with main-eventers down the line, he'll be required to speak some more, but what he's like on mic will still be irrelevant because everyone buys into the character. Goldberg wasn't good on the mic as well, nor was he a great worker, but everyone bought into the character and that's all that mattered with him. Now I'm not trying to compare Ryback to Goldberg either, I'm just giving another example of a guy who was pushed to the top despite not being the best talker or worker.

Re: HOW BIG CAN RYBACK BE?
LOL he is 6'3, after last week's end of RAW when he was standing infront of Punk after the attack on Foley, it was so funny to see Punk 6'2 running from Ryback 6'3, if Batista or Lesnar were there, it would really be believable.

Re: HOW BIG CAN RYBACK BE?
I can see WWE wanting him to be on a Cena-level but I don't think that will happen unless he's decent on the mic and can have a decent feud with Cena.
Also, I hate his ring gear. Stick him in some shorts or something.

Re: HOW BIG CAN RYBACK BE?
He'll be another Sheamus unless he somehow manages to suddenly develop about 5 times the amount of personality when they fully get behind him. Then again Daniel Bryan rise as a character surprised the hell out of me so time will tell.

Really? CM Punk looks so insignificant. I would run away from any wrestler if I looked like him.

Fucking sad.

You know your lying when you say that. Cena has been the number 1 guy since 05 at times only because of his merch sales... Hardy, Punk and Orton have all been more over than he has at points since 05, but there were never the "#1 guy"
