Cena/punk is one of the most overhyped feuds ever.
There have been so many tv matches in the last few years I've enjoyed way more than there apparently 5* match...

Re: Fans want Ryback, or just not Cena?
I don't get why any one on here would rather see Ryback vs Punk. Cena and Punk have great chemistry and can effortlessly put on at least a 4* match whenever they face on PPV. Ryback is crap in the ring, imagine how much Punk would have to protect him if they went over 10 minutes on a PPV ME match.

Re: Fans want Ryback, or just not Cena?
If Cena was healthy, Cena. That was part of the intended storyline. Cena isn't healthy, so the choice for me here is Ryback.
As little as I like Cena, he is needed to keep the show going at a high level (ratings, sales, buyrates). If Cena gets hurt even further, we could see WWE tank hard for awhile. I don't want to see that happen.
Since the crowd's pretty over for Ryback to destroy Punk anyway, I don't see the problem. Personally, I would much rather watch a slightly above average match with a few decent spots with massive pops and the crowd caring about everything that's happening, than to watch a couple great technical wrestlers armbar and drop toe hold eachother to the sound of crickets chirping.
If you want a case in point, watch Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior. Below average match (and way below average in terms of technical wrestling), but huge crowd involvement. One of the better matches in WWE history because the crowd wanted to see the two fight it out. Pops are very important. If Ryback's as over as he was this week, it'll work.

It was 53/47 Ryback to Cena. Wonder what happened.

Honestly, I dont give a crap abut their 4 star matches anymore, since they have happened so many times, and are so similar to each other, besides one or two new things added.
I would rather see a 2 star match between Ryback and Punk because it would feel fresh, and interesting. Plus, we dont know yet how Ryback could do in a 10-15 minute match. I am willing to give him a chance.

Its 50/50 now. I want to see what Ryback can do at a PPV in lengthy match.

Re: Fans want Ryback, or just not Cena?
I wouldn't mind a Ryback vs. Punk feud. It could have a very edgy feel to it if done right. I just want Punk to look strong in his match with Ryback instead of his usual jobbers. I wouldn't mind another match with Cena either because all of their matches have been classic and for the fact that they're polar opposites makes their matches that much better.

Re: Fans want Ryback, or just not Cena?
the guy is working 10-15 minute matches on House Shows. Yeah I know its House Show but the guy is still wrestling for that amount of time, regardless where it is. And from what I read he doing fined.
Ryback & Punk are wrestling this weekend anyways and I am sure they will 10-15 minutes as well. Not like he will go into a PPV without doing long matches before

We need to find the results from that house show match after it's finished. It might give us some insight to what could possibly happen at HIAC.
