LOL. All these people saying the terrible ratings aren't Punk's fault, but you know if the ratings were good they would be giving Punk credit.

Punk has the misfortune of being in WWE when the management is going through a stage of transition, where so much is changing and WWE seems to have no idea what the fuck it is doing.

The show is crap right now, so he can't be blamed solely for the rating, but no, he certainly isn't a draw either.

one guy can only do so much, austin had foley/rock/taker/kane/vince to work with in 98

who does punk have?

and cena is no hogan, please stop with that, cena never changed the business twice and had the career hogan had, being forced down our throats and drawing to children under 8 and under does not make him great

Punk is the anti-draw. He just isn't interesting at all and is a waste of time at the top of the card. He was drawing 2.9s last year before the switch to 3 hours.

He is a solid worker, obviously, but his mic skills are grossly overrated on the Internet. He talks a lot but it never means anything, just pointless whining.

The Bret Hart comparisons make a ton of sense. Really great workers that can't carry the company and both led the company into the toilet while on top. Too bad WCW is gone now because without WCW forcing McMahon to change things this thing might never get fixed.
