Re: Should MizTv open Raw?

Honestly, it's an awful idea. Firstly, that kind of predictability would tank the ratings which is awful for WWE. Secondly, Miz isn't involved in or close to a main event storyline right now so there's a slight disjoint there. As has been mentioned before, the first segment or match is generally a teaser for the night, so involving Miz in that right now doesn't work.

The only people who thought he was a great mic worker were some of the IWC. He has always been average. The crowd never cares about what he has to say.

Who is Johnny Curtis? Nobody...just the future of WWE!

Looking at your Join Date, you clearly weren't around during his WWE title reign. Good Lord the love for this guy during those months.

Re: Should MizTv open Raw?

Typically Raw opens with a promo, or hype involving two stars, and more specifically the main event. What's the difference if these things are done on the The Miz show? Now that Raw is 3 hours there is room for a show like this to take 15 minutes. For those who think The Miz is not a household name check again. He is easily one of the most known stars in the company. The Miz is constantly busting his ass promoting the WWE. He is literally everywhere, and that kind of exposure is exactly what he needs.

The Miz is a former WWE Champion, and he wasn't some "flash in the pan" either. His mic work is far above average, and his ring work is "solid". Having this show is a way to keep him relevant as well. In what way does he need to be involved in the main event for this show to work? The Miz knows how to work a crowd, and that is exactly how you get the live audience in to the rest of the night. You have to open with someone who can make some noise. Not to mention his guest that would come out, and make some noise.

Think about it. What if his next guest was Stone Cold Steve Austin, and it was to help push the new WWE 13 game, and out came CM Punk to confront this issue? What if the next guest was The Rock? Open the show with The Rock on MizTv, and the show becomes a hit. Have Vince McMahon on tonight with The Miz hosting Vince, catering to his every needs, complimenting him, and such. The next HHH interview done on MizTv, and the next big contract signing done on MizTv.

No, it won't be the next Piper's Pit, but Miz can work the mic, and keep fans interested especially as a "heel". He is over as a heel, and people can really get in to not liking this man. Think of all the shit he could say. He is better than Oprah, Dr.Phil, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, etc. Not to mention he is currently the Intercontinental Champion, and so furthering feuds on his own show makes sense as well. Possibly cut a promo prior to his guest, and talk shit on his next opponent. Having it open Raw says that it's a mainstay show, and it's a part of the act for Raw on Mondays. Randomly just having it come on is what makes it useless.

lol, yeah he was. A year and a half ago he was walking into the Wrestlemania main event as WWE champion, now he is the IC champion. You don't experience that kind of come down if you're not a flash in the pan.

I still maintain that MizTV opening every week is too predictable for live TV.

Yes, MozTV should be three hours every week as a talk-show instead of the boring crap they call 'Raw'. I would watch it just to laugh!

Re: Should MizTv open Raw?

Hell, if it starts the show imagine what he can do with the live audience prior to Raw even starting. He could have fans come in the ring, and ask him questions. He can do anything he wants that is in the realm of entertainment. It's a way to get the fans ready for the show prior to the show starting, and if it's consistent, and works then it should open the show. Yes, he is the IC Champion, and no that may not matter to you, but it does to me. It says you are giving the IC title holder exposure, and who better than The Miz?

Like I said before. Raw has opened plenty of times with long, drawn out promos, good promos, great promos, and even forgettable promos. Rarely do we have matches open the show. Why not get all those promos, big contract signings, returns etc, on MizTv in the first 15-20 minutes of the show. Rock returns, great put him on MizTv, and let him make the show famous. Austin returns to promote the WWE 13 game, great have that open the show. You want to open the show with a bang, and they can do this through MizTv opening the show.
