I can't stand when he just grins when the crowd is booing him, and he is like "Hey, and thats why I love Monday Night Raw"

Um, that would be like breaking up with your ex girlfriend while she is giving you the middle finger and telling you how much of a bad person you are...do you reckon any dude would be like "Hey but thats why I love you"??? No! Cena is just a manufactured WWE product which a Rock or Austin or Punk isn't! So the guy who tried to say those guys were the same as Cena...yeah, nice try but we are not dumb.

Well, every wrestler repeats their usual method of going about a promo. Say, how the phrase introductions, intensity levels, etc. Their general style. Look back and you can see variance in many in how they deliver promos, but essential the foundations are the same for wrestlers. Each has their own way, that is what makes them different, but each sticks to their own way for most/all promos.

However, content, differs for most. With Cena, content is usually very rehashed, not just during a single feud. For example a single feud or phase of someones career can have similar content (we will no doubt see Punk with the intense respect idea for the next while). However with Cena, it has remained nearly the same. It is usually, very usually, something to do with ass kissing the crowd, playing the complete neutral/honest guy about his opponent, before going into good guy mode to finish. He rarely does other things. Look to when he gets angry such as beating up Swagger with Kane calling him out, giving the intense truth of why he must win to Rock (not the BS promos), giving Punk the speech about why he won't call him "the best in the world" as examples.

Judging off crowd response I'd say Cena gains a bigger reaction which is the purpose of his job. To put it simply, if Cena gets more noise he is better. Of course I could have worded my first statement a little better and not used the word truth, maybe highly held opinion might of suited the situation better.

I still hold my original stance that Cena's interviewers are more than just the same repeated stuff. Sure he reuses things but not on the level being made out.

Well I wake up and I get dressed. During the day I eat, breath and I do other things. Then I go to sleep. Do you think my days are all the same? Every wrestler has his method of delivering a promo. The only think you can argue about is the content, and that's more a Creative Team problem

I don't know if anyone has noticed Cena's new rehashed thing he likes to do. When he goes into serious tone and "worked shoots" at the other guy on the microphone

Like with The Rock for example he goes into serious tone and says "The REAL reason why Dwayne Johnson has come back is to promote movies and his new Twitter account" *Crowd goes oooooooooooooooooooo*

And with CM Punk he was doing PG jokes and then shouts and goes into serious tone and says "You have been WWE champion for 300 days and for those 300 days the WWE title has been irreverent" *Crowd goes oooooooooooooo*

Came here to say exactly this. Most everyone is going have the same "promo method" all the time but its the content. Cena's promos from about 2005 have all been the exact same (for the msot part) from a content standpoint. And like quoted above I am not jsut talking about his catchphrases. There has been absolutely ZERO character development or evolution in 7 years now for Cena
