Re: Ryback a draw?

He has potential, he's over and you can't be a draw without being over, the crowds love him. I don't necessarily watch either Raw or Smackdown for RyBack alone or anything but I'm a fan. I like his slow build...it's got a steady pace to it. He won't be the 'face' of the company or anything, especially if he can't deliver promo's. He's not for everyone but as long as he has the crowds chanting along with him, they're gonna push him.

There goes your credibility. Ziggler's one of the best in-ring talents in WWE and is quickly climbing the all-time list. Prone to botching? Spare me.

Of course they're going to get away with it. Their target demographic is unfamiliar with the source material.

You do realize that, as great as Quentin Tarantino is, most of his movies are direct rip-offs of other movies, right? Ever see Reservoir Dogs? That is a BLATANT ripoff of a Chow Yun Fat movie whose title escapes me. Did most of the modern American audience know that? Of course not. That's why Reservoir Dogs did so well and is so praised by audiences.

Younger fans have no clue who Goldberg is, nor do they see anything derivative in Ryback. He's new to them, which means WWE is free to rip off Goldberg as much as they want. If you don't like that, that's unfortunate, but unless you plan on touring the world telling every little WWE fan the tale of Goldberg, no one that matters to WWE cares.

As far as Ziggler quickly climbing the all-time list is concerned,Yes, you're right about that. Ziggler since 2008 is a picture of consistency ala perfection who will certainly go down in history as one of the all-time greats who was really talented at driving viewers to turn-off their TV or change the channel whenever he was on TV.

Oh yeah. Ryback is/will be a big draw. Just not for the IWC.

Re: Ryback a draw?

I feel sorry for anyone that gets drawn by Ryback tbh. Or any unsuspecting parents whose kids demand tickets to see him.

Well he already puts my ass on the couch. One of the main reasons I watch RAW/Smackdown is because of him.
Really? Why? I don't mean anything by it, I genuinely would like to know.

Re: Ryback a draw?

So many ppl label Punk who can cut better promos in his sleep over Ryback, better wrestler not a Draw or ratings killer but this muscle head who has been squashing 100 poubd jobbers for months to promote to squashing wwe jobbers is all suddenly a draw or potential draw. If Ryback does indeed draw im afraid for the future. hate Cena all you want but he can put on a great match sometimes and can deliver promos Ryback hasnt even come close to either with all the time given to him.

Doesn't really justify the fact that Ryback is a rip off.

Gotcha. My deepest apologies. Your original post was a tiny bit confusing.

Why does it even need to be justified? Rip-offs are common in all forms of entertainment. You're entitled to not liking it, but to think that WWE will never imitate or copy characters or storylines from the past is just silly and unrealistic.
