i have to agree definite contender, who knows randy orton could still be in the mix, daniel bryan could have a chance, fans react to him like no one else
With Orton...right now that's a no. I like him, but nothing is really going on for him like when he was in evolution and post-evolution from the way I remembered it. Daniel Bryan...I'd toss him in the maybe-possiblys, but I doubt it. Maybe they'll both eventually evolve into something that can carry the company, but right now I can't imagine it.
I think there are plenty of candidates that could take his spot and actually do far better... the over reliance on Cena has kept guys down over the years and you can't really call Cena a great face of the company when this isn't exactly going to be the most fondly remembered era in wrestling.
Personally, I think Daniel Bryan is the guy right now. He's is absolutely white hot, can turn shit into pure gold, and is just over when it seems at every turn the WWE has tried to merely use him as a stepping stone for someone else. I mean, the 18 second squash did more to elevate Bryan and actually kinda get in the way of Sheamus. And he has the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand... he can get them going without any obvious pandering or ploys that come off as fake.

Ahhhh... late night strolls through the forum with my booze. Here's to finding out what the hell I did the next day!
You do realize Sheamus is a year younger than Cena, don't you?
Not to mention Irish. There ain't no way Vince is pushing a non American as the face of the WWE. He's way too crazy on that support the troops stuff. And even if he did, Sheamus is not charismatic enough to pull it off.
Anyway, we don't know, they aren't in the business. Besides, Cena's probably never going to retire at his pace. He just doesn't know what the fuck the word "break" means.

Sheamus and/or Ryback. Punk needs to stay tweener or be a full blown, hated heel like Triple H was. I literally hated the guy. We need people like that but of course within the PG guidelines if that's even possible.

Cena will never retire. He has nothing outside of the WWE. It's his life and I firmly believe that he means that, which is actually quite sad if you think about it.
