He was most likely just visiting the wrestlers backstage, if this report is true.

He's not appearing backstage at raw, he's just following the WWE. You can't have a raw superstar involved in a massive smackdown storyline.

It turns out that Christian wasn't backstage at Raw last night

Some outlets took the Cage story and ran with it when they received the email, but as Dave theorized last night, it was obviously someone trying to work the websites into reporting false news.

agreed... I will believe it when he makes his TV debut (or I see promo videos)

Smackdown needs Christian no doubt, I'm not going to jump to conclusions but I'm going mark out like hell if Christian is coming back.

If the 'E wanted his return to be unexpected and surprising, they probably wouldn't have him show up at a RAW even prior to a contract signing. It makes sense.
