Seeming as he wasnt on RAW I would think he was there to possibly discuss his new contract or seeming as Jeff was there they may have been going over there upcoming feud

Guys they were just filming a backstage segment on RAW. He may not appear at RAW at all. Smackdown is taped so they didn't do it there to ruin the surprise. I bet they just recorded the promo, and will add some canned-heat and add it to the Smackdown recording. Thats why Jeff Hardy appeared at RAW also.
