I've always been a fan of his, specially when he was in WCW. But I think a lot of people didn't like his world title run and said he only got the belt because of Eddie. Other than that, I don't know why people hate him either. He's still a great athlete and entertaining.

pretty much agree, disliked by his whc title run blame the bookers. im not a rey fan but i enjoy his matches thats exciting hes a important merchandise seller, about his micskills its decent not everybody can talk the talk.

Mysterio is decent, it's just that WWE keeps overvaluating him, pumping him out of proportion. It just makes no sense that someone of his stature would be able to defeat wrestlers 3x as heavy as him. No matter how much they want to push him, it's limited because of his size.

He has no real character, it's just like.. Omg I have a mask and I am a guerrero latino. They based absolutely everything on his character on the mask.

For it to make any sense at all, I think rey should turn heel. Play on the whole "I want a title again, and I've waited so long I snapped, Imma do ANYTHING!". That way he could get himself a bodyguard, and win dirty, and it would be beliavable. Also, imo as a heel he'd get the chance to developp his character a bit more, deepened it, add some shadowy parts.

But well, that won't happen, WWE makes too much money selling fake mysterio masks to the little kids. If their hero turns heel, no more the monies.

He cannot have a change of character, because the mask lucha is who he is. And he can't cut promos to save his life.

He's too small to be a main character in the company, but they've pushed him because they've got noone else. Things like him being pushed to main event status have cause the death of the cruiserweight division.

I hate underdogs most of the time, but especially ones like him who ALWAYS win (but not ALWAYS, yet it seems like it).

Plus most people cannot do good matches with him because of his size.

Idk. He used to be one of my favorite wrestlers but once they started pushing him as a main eventer, and moreso as WHC, he went downhill. He's still good but it's not as exciting watching his matches anymore because he doesn't do anything that's very new.

And he's always the same person. He's always going to be face and underdog. He couldn't possibly turn heel, it just wouldn't work (See also: Colin Delaney Heel Turn)

Colin was a suicide bomber the moment he got hired. Just looking 5 seconds at the guy you could figure he could never wrestle seriously, the guy doesn't have muscles for crying out loud.
