I feel for Cena. I hope he gets through this and returns soon, because RAW's kind boring, IMO, without 'im, with the exception of Batista and Jericho. Get well, John.

I hope Cena gets better soon, RAW is going to suck without him, Hopefully he wont be out too long.

This sucks for Cena especially since he is so dedicated to pro wrestling. Major blow for WWE for sure. I hope he fully recovers.

I wonder how he got injured. WWE wrestling isn't that tiring on the body but having to wrestle just about everyday puts a strain on it. I'm guessing it was from the constant house shows. I know house shows is were WWE makes a large profit, but maybe WWE should consider reducing house shows to the weekends. Autograph signings and appearances can help make money during the weekdays. They shouldn't charge for the autographs but once fans get there they will be more inclined to buy WWE merchandise.

Austin's neck injury put him out of the ring for ten months from November 1999 to September 2000. While filming a fight scene for a role in the season finale of the television program Dark Angel, the stunt double Dumas was working with dropped her as she swung through a hurricanrana, causing her to land on her neck and shoulders. The injury put her out of action for seventeen months - from April 2002 to September 2003. Scotty 2 Hotty's neck injury put him out of action for seventeen months as well - from May 2002 to October 2003. Chris Benoit's neck injury put him out of action for a little more than a year - from June 2001 to July 2002. Rhyno's neck injury put him out of the ring for sixteen months - from October 2001 to February 2003. And then of course there is Gregory Helms, who has been out of action for over sixteen months and counting. Helms' neck injury has sidelined him since a few weeks after WrestleMania 23.

Cena's injury was described as a herniated disc tonight on Raw and on the company website. However, the belief is that the injury is severely worse. WWE's obviously hoping for the best when Cena visits Dr. Youngblood later this week.

Cena is scheduled to see doctors tomorrow morning with neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Maroon at the University of Pittsburgh. He will then fly to San Antonio on Wednesday to be examined by Youngblood and we should know about the severity of the injury by then.

It’s believed right now that Cena will have the same neck fusion surgery that WWE Superstar Gregory Helms had. omg a year? Same surgery as Austin? That sucks bad Cena missing mania is really gonna get to him for sure.

Wow, that sucks. Here's hoping for good news and a speedy recovery. A year without Cena would be like... well, it would be like something, but idk what to compare it to.

I think the schedule has finally caught up with Cena. In addition to the regular WWE schedule hes done the movies and the appearances so I guess it was just a matter of time before it caught up with him. Think about all those gimmick hes had over the years.

I know we're looking at a year away from the ring but it wont shock if he's back sooner. This guys health and dedication is pretty incredible.

Numbness in his arm because of his neck? Wow, that`s what happened to Edge when he had to get neck surgery, hopefully it`s not that bad. Definitely NOT a good time to lose a competitor like Cena..

Terrible news that John Cena's injured, he's getting a Scan today, so I hope all turns out well and his time off is limited. Just when he was losing his Superman image, Cena could always return, win the WWE Championship, and have another Year-long run. Bull.
