I really doubt they would go to such length, who takes responsiblity for the article? How does Orton explain that he wasn't in an accident? All makes it seem unlikely to me that it is a swerve. If it was however, Orton could come make his surprise return, explain that he faked the accident for whatever reason (heel heat).

That said, I believe it's real.

He lives in High Ridge. If this had happened around here, it would have made the local news like crazy. This wasnt on the news anywhere.

It says on the WWE page that police and fireman were there. This is such bullshit. This would have been in the St Louis Post-Dispatch, on the news and all over the radio. This is definitely a work.
