I hate to be the mood killer, but Punk still isn't over enough to hold either world title for me. To be a world champion (As a babyface), you need to be able to lift everybody of there feet when you're music plays. Punk didn't do that last night. Sorry, but he didn't. Batista does that, Cena does that, Undertaker does that & HHH does that and that's why they've all held world title's recently.

It's just far too soon, for me, although i'll give it a chance.

WTF Are you talking about? Did you miss the crowd go crazy when he first came out after Batista laid out Edge? Did you miss EVERYONE on their feet cheering when he pinned Edge? Did you miss the pop he got when he came out against JBL, or how about the ringing "CM Punk" chants during the match itself. And of course how the place exploded when he got the victory and suicide dived onto everyone.

I don't post here much, but you sound like one of the obligatory Punk haters that roam every wrestling board.

C'mon now. People cheered when he pinned Edge and JBL because they wanted a swerve. No-one expected it, so the fans cheered to see it. It also had something to do with Edge/JBL being such good heels. People chanting his name during the match was easy. Funaki could get chants if he fought JBL.

When he came out to fight JBL, in the entrance itself, the crowd was dead silent. You can't argue that one.

Just watched it again. It's funny how he's so hyped to get the match started. I had to look at those faces in the crowd again and the rows of smirks from the male fans. Some looked a little angry too but who gives a fuck. Change was necessary. The Age of Orton is dead. The HHH era has no legs. The CM Punk Era is finally at hand!

i feel sorry for punk. i have never really liked him but was hoping he would cash in mitb at noc. i actually marked hard when he did on raw, but i just feel the wwe are using this as an excuse to get atitle on raw rather than push punk properly
