I'm not dogging on Punk, but if they're going to go through with this, they might as well put the title on Hardy/Kennedy/MVP. I do like how he looks with the belt though.

I was getting ready to leave my house and go to a party, but I figured I'd check my DVR recording of Raw and fast forward to see what happened. Needless to say when I saw Punk come out, I lost it. When he won the title, I was in shock. I pessimisticly figured he'd be the first guy to lose the match when he cashed in. When he was celebrating like a kid, I started literally shaking with joy. I'm on top of the world. Even if he would have lost it to JBL I still would be there.

The Punk era of the WWE has begun. Never thought I'd say that.

Well thats why I also said "but who knows" because your right. I just meant myself personally didn't see MVP jumping in the WWE title race because regardless of how Punk was being booked he still had something that at anytime could propell himself to main event status. MVP, Kennedy doesn't have that luxury was all I was saying. Jeff on the other hand was someone already on the verge of main event status which is why I didn't add him to that list.

Which is why he should be booked to lose it sometime within the next two months. He's not ready for the ME.

They have been dancing around an Edge vs. CM Punk feud ever since CM Punk won the MITB. And I think it is only fitting that Punk wins the big one from Edge. I can't see them feuding right off the back when they finally do, it will be great.

OK yes, shocks and surprises are good. But will WWE be able to keep this up in the long-term? The draft has allowed for some interesting developments but now that it is over and Night of Champions has passed, I am sure pretty soon a lot of you will be complaining again.

I still think Punk should've been built up to win the title from Edge at WrestleMania 25. They could easily have found another way to bring a world title to Raw.

Wow...3 years ago, Punk is atop the Indy world. Now, 3 years later, Punk is atop the flagship brand for the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. Goddamn amazing for those of us who watched this kid grow.
