And Volcanic I'll admit before this I might have would have agreed with u but not now because rly NOBODY saw this coming because no would have thought he could do it atm. The only thing I don't like about this is that it was a short reign for Edge. He's one of the very top heels in all of WWE. He won the title and banished the Undertaker in one fell swoop, so I kind of wanted to see Taker come back and win the title from him again. Plus, I'm a huge Edge mark so it's a bit personal for me.

Having said all that, I like CM Punk and I think he definitely deserves a chance to wear that prestigious title. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do with it.

Props to the creative team for totally catching me off guard and making me mark and lament simultaneously. Congrats, Punk... don't fuck it up.

I was hoping he'd capture the title at Wrestlemania 25 or some other grand stage (considering he's not fully ready for the 'big picture'), but this is an alright move as well.

A great deal of those feuds are 'face vs. face', so that leaves me questioning the length & marketability of Punk's first World Heavyweight Championship reign.

Forget feuds, some of those matches have "epic" written all over them. Punk against Jericho or Michaels are matches I definitely want to see.

Agreed. I believe a feud against Shawn Michaels would give CM Punk that extra 'nudge' he needs to be fully accepted a main-event player. It could be Punk's 'Raw breakout' match.

I will admit, I hadn't marked out hard when he won. Honestly, Im afraid he will be thrown to John Cena but, it was still a great sight to see. As far as the people saying that this is bad, hey, it could be worse, we could have the same people as champ over and over again, which is always fun...

Punk will drop the title to Randy Orton. And seeing as how Orton won't return until No Mercy, that gives Punk enough time to have a decent reign.

That was my exact thinking too. Punk's reign will last about 3 months which is when Orton will be back. amd they will start a program where Orton ends up winning the title. Even though I don't think it'll just be as easy as it may sounds. Cause if they have a feud they are gonna need a way to sretch it so I guess we will see, but yeah I think Orton will be the guy who takes it off of him which I have no problem with at all.
