Re: The Intercontinental Championship
ECW just needs to go. If ECW was gone this could be the potential IC and US Title division
IC Title
Jeff Hardy
John Morrison
Elijah Burke
Lance Cade
Paul Burchill
Cody Rhodes
CM Punk
US Title
Matt Hardy
The Miz
Kofi Kingston
Finlay
Chavo Guerrero
Gregory Helms(when he returns)

Re: The Intercontinental Championship
I thought that the IC and US titles were gonna be made more prestigous following WM 24. I was wrong, nothing has improved.

I agree. Combining the belts would take one less prop away from creative. Titles are only props after all and no matter how prestigious *or lack-there-of* a title is it can still be used to help give credibility to a wrestler. So why take that away? Doesn't make any sense.

I don't remember that feud at all. I think for a feud to be memorable, it has to make more than just the marks for the two superstars take notice. You're obviously a Hardy mark, and there's nothing wrong with that. But don't let your bias for a superstar turn a blah feud into a memorable one.
Under your reasoning, Colin Delaney should be our next World or WWE champion, because right now, he's probably about as over as Jeff Hardy is.
I agree that booking has been a problem. But, again, you'll need to put your love for Hardy aside. He's shown absolutely no respect for the business. How many times has he blown it? Like I said awhile ago regarding Kennedy; I don't care what you do on your own time. As long as you're not hurting anyone by what you do, I honestly don't care. But here you have Hardy doing stuff on his own time that is hurting people. He's not able to make his appearences because of what he'd done on his personal time. His actions have kept him away from the fans and the business that has made him.
You get an opportunity to be the top guy in a company like the WWE and you blow it? And blow it again? And then, you blow it again? Even the best booking in the world can't help a guy like that.

Re: The Intercontinental Championship
The IC Title stop meaning something the moment it was put on Umaga the first time. The reason the title was put on Umaga was becuase WWE wanted him to be a champion so when he faced Bobby Lashley in the Battle of the Billionares it would have been champion v. champion. After that, Umaga lost it to Santino with the sole purpose of Lashley making Umaga look like a joke. Santino basically did nothing with the belt until he got squashed by Umaga again. Jeff Hardy then won the belt from Umaga again and he did nothing with the belt since he was pushed to the main event and was just holding the belt. Hardy lost the title to Jericho becuase he used drugs and Jericho has only defended the belt 2 times. Once against Big Show which ended in a DQ and once against Umaga which he ended up winning with a roll up.
The title was being treated so much better before the Battle of the Billionares.

Re: The Intercontinental Championship
At least it had the best wwe match ever, AKA Savage vs Steamboat.
The Writers should stop thinking of these soap opera storylines for people not involved with the belt and give them the storylines.

You sir have officially become a gimmick poster.
Jeff Hardy is outpopping Triple H and John Cena on Raw the 'A' Show, whilst Colin Delaney is getting so so reactions on ECW the 'C' show.
You clearly haven't got a clue have you, i think you have now reached 2 posts of idiocy.
And you dont have to be a Hardy mark to see that, though a Hardy hater may be blind to it.

Re: The Intercontinental Championship
The Intercontinental does have such a storied history, its kind of a shame whats happening to it lately. They keep giving it to main event tier starts who hardly ever defend it because they are usually in tag team main events or in other bigger storylines not involving the title. Right now...I say a good person to give the belt to would be someone like Elijah Burke who could be moved to Raw and be a great IC Champion. The guy has Charisma, talent, and he's right now at the midcard level, give him the belt and give him a good run have him feud with someone like CM Punk and have Elijah go over for the most part to build him up to Punk's level and thats how the restore credibility to the title and build up another main eventer.
