There's so much mid-card and upper-mid-card potential that could really do some great things with this belt. It's honestly sad to see it like this.

The title should be defended more often instead of given to a wrestler that will only hold onto it to boost their status to something like the World title. The past few champions that held it such as Umaga and Jeff Hardy hardly did a thing for it instead of hold it, job out to upper talent or in Jeff's case, rise up the roster and just use it to be laced in gold.

The US title is used much better then the IC title. Maybe it's time to switch the titles? Only way I could see this happening is by the draft.

I would love a feud between Rey and Jeff for the IC title. This rivalry could very well bring back the IC glory days back then continue with great feuds and matches for IC title.

If the break the Miz and John Morrison, I wouldn't mind Morrison in a feud with Chris Jericho for the IC Title and the Miz in a feud with Matt Hardy for the US Title.

The last time the Intercontinental title was defended at a pay per view was last year's GAB (Umaga/Hardy).
That just proves that the title doesn't mean squat to the WWE.

His feud over the belt with Nitro was pretty good and memorable and was the last good feud over the belt, and how on earth can you say he has done nothing to deserve a strap as a singles competitor when he is the most over guy in the company never to have won a world title, thats all you need in this business to deserve titles as a singles competitor.

Booking did nothing with the title not Jeff Hardy, Hardy does not book how the title is used Chris Jericho is doing the same as Hardy jack shit, it will be the same with anyone holding the belt until creative decide to start booking the title in storylines and matches.

I would throw it onto HBK and have people chase him for the title. Use it as sort of a television title. Obviously not defended each week, so not a true "television" title, but defended twice a month on RAW.

After HBK has a two month reign with it, have him drop it to someone like Kennedy, who then goes on a dominant, long Intercontinental reign who has to give it up due to a (kayfabe) injury. Not RVD ECW Television title length, but around 8 months should do.
