It is a shame that the Intercontinental title is so overlooked. There has been weeks, maybe months at a time seemingly where it was barely even mentioned, let alone defended in a match. They were more focused with Jeff Hardy being pushed to main event status than they were having him defend the belt.

I don't mind Y2J having it, but defending it every now and then wouldn't be so bad either.

Why not turn him full blown heel after he faces HBK and have him start a feud with Jeff Hardy? I don't know who all is being moved in the upcoming draft, as I haven't kept up with the dirt sheets for awhile, but give it some spotlight that it rightfully deserves.

It's a shame that the IC title is overlooked so much. Then again, it doesn't really surprise me considering nothing shocking really happens that much in wrestling anymore. Gone are the days of managers at ringside with their wrestler, huge factions waging wars against wrestlers or other factions, surprise heel turns, surprise face turns (okay, maybe we have had a few lately, but it's been far and few between).

Something's gotta give.

I renember when Jeff Hardy and John Morrison were feuding for the belt. It was a great feud and Morrison wasn't even half of what he is today.

I'd like to see the IC championship used to put veterans/ main eventers (HBK/William Regal/Y2J/JBL) into feuds with young up-and-coming mid/upper carders (Jeff Hardy/Kennedy/Carlito) and basically build the IC title up from scratch again by having 4 way feuds, and regular defences on RAW and PPV's.

Perhaps a IC vs US champions match (or SD! vs RAW tag team [IC + US contender] vs <IC contender + US>) would be good for a PPV.

The fact is, WWE seems to have forgotten how influential the title is on those in the WWE, and what it can lead to.

How about moving the IC Title to Smackdown. The title will get some attention there.

i wanna see Kennedy holding the belt. He has been in the WWE for a long time (nearly 3 years) but only saw him with Us belt. Most of the time, he has been with the great feud
with several superstars. WWE should give him title opportunities (IC or World Title or tag)

I'm surprised Kennedy has only won the US Belt. By now I thought he was going to be around a 3-time US/IC Champion and maybe even a 1-time tag team champion. When MVP/Kennedy were having feuds with Kane/Taker, I was hoping that it would have turned into a Tag Team feud for the Tag Titles.

Yeah ! Me too surprised that Kennedy has not achieved what he should have. It's too sad
that last year , he passed MITB to Edge due to his injury .
Now IC belt should have a great feud with the upper mid-card superstars like Jeff , Regal
and Kennedy. They should also need to put UMANGA .

it doesn't matter who has the IC belt, booking will screw it up and not have it defended, hence, not having it matter.

I agree the belt should be given too michaels, or at least have michaels feud for it

that would really give the IC some prestige

although, as said, i doubt it will happen

The IC Title should be defended more on ppv's,but feuds built up on all 3 brands. MORRISON,KENNEDY,PUNK,SHELTON,BURKE,JEFF,MATT,MVP,KOFI..............The list is endless and any 2 of these could have a mega 20 minute ppv match
