So here's a question (I'm not trying to be inflammatory so don't jump down my throat!), who benefited from a push during Matt Hardy's last reign, and so far who has benefited from Jericho's reign so far? Jeff spent a lot of his IC reign pushing towards a WWE title shot, and so far Jericho has been involved with the Michaels/Batista thing.

I like the idea of throwing the belt on HBK and using his experience with it as a gimmick of some sort and have someone like Kennedy beat him for it to get this championship on it's way to being a significant title again.

I wouldn't like CM Punk with the IC Title for some reason. Maybe becuase WWE has made him so boring.

I'd mark so hard for a Burke IC title reign. Guess I'll be waiting for a while though.

The title will continue to have no significance until ECW closes down, because all of the mid-carders are piled up on that show, and it's destroyed the mid-card on Raw and Smackdown.

The belt hasn't meant squat in close to a decade IMO. When I was a teen, the belt meant everything, because it was the only singles belt you saw on WWF TV on a regular basis. Until the belt means enough to the WWE to even be defended at Mania, which hasn't happened in like 6 years, it won't mean anything. I think the WWE needs less belts period. As long as there are a total of 5 men's singles titles, all lose value. I would unify the 3 world titles (and 2 tag) and keep the IC and US brand specific. I think having less titles, increases the value of all.
