Re: Jeff Hardy Suspended
Christ americans go mental about drugs, it's recreational drug use, as far as i know the guy isn't acting like a prick, getting into trouble, no showing. The only thing affected is his health, unfourtunately he might die a little early but he also might break his neck doing a swanton. They suspended him because they have, to vince doesn't want to go to court again. I see no reason why he shouldn't get a push when he gets back.
If this ends jeffs career it just proves the media can kick up a fuss about something and everyone buys into it.

As do I. If Jeff is aloud to wrestle on Raw and more importantly at Wrestlemania, then how come he isnt? Kinda fishy if you ask me.

Re: Jeff Hardy Suspended
Maybe they wish for him to sort himself out? Maybe they suggested rehab and we weren't acknowledged of that yet? I don't know. Maybe we'll never know.
Nevertheless, he doesn't deserve that chance now to participate in MITB after he went and threw that massive push away by violating his second offence.

It says in the article, if they get offered and need to go to rehab then they arn't allowed to wrestle full stop. The guy needs help and if he had half a brain cell he'd take it.

The lack of respect in a lot of cases
Lately, most of the members here have been shocked or at least a bit surprised at a recent turn in the wrestling world. Jeff Hardy was suspended for a violation of WWEs wellness policy, and suspended 60 days. He lost his intercontinental championship, and was taken off the Wrestlemania card. He was in line for a big push, but it appears as if he has ruined it now.
What bothers me the most about this is the reaction a lot of the members here have displayed. Anger. Disgust. Disbelief. But most of all, acting like 11-year-olds who didn't get what they wanted when they wanted it. Some say "he should just have stayed off the drugs" or "he was an idiot for even doing them in the first place" or things to that effect.
Seriously, what is wrong with you? Jeff Hardy, like him or not, isn't just a wrestling character who jumps off things taller than 15 feet. He isn't just some guy who wears stockings on the wrong appendages and does a weird spastic dance every time he goes into the arena. Whether you like him or not, he's human, just like the rest of us.
This thread isn't so much about Hardy, but rather about the lack of respect most of the members here show. Fine, this is a forum, and fine, you're allowed to state your opinion, but REALLY. Do we need the "thank god he got hurt so that enter-name-here can get a push instead" every time someone tears a muscle or breaks something? Do we need the drug-addict jokes and name-calling every time someone gets suspended for breaking the wellness policy? I'm personally getting sick of those things.
Fine, Jeff Hardy destroyed his carreer, but that was his choice. He's doing crazy stuff every week to entertain us, he's giving us 110% of what he's got because he committed to doing so, and he is, in short words, working his ass off for US. And yet we sit here and scold him for being addicted to drugs he might take to ease the pain that he endures for our sake.
When Jeff Hardy got suspended, I was shocked. When I read the reactions in the sticky, I got even more offended. And now, apparently, Vince is using Jeff as an example, as if Jeffs problems was just a tool to show Congress that WWE is serious in what they do. Now I just feel sorry for Jeff.
How come we don't realize how serious these problems are before someone dies of them? How come we don't show people respect for what they do until they pass away, half the age they should have been? It's sad, tbh.

Re: The lack of respect in a lot of cases
I think the case most people present is "he should have known better" and the thought that he is a role model, therefore, he HAS to be "perfect".
First off, it's easy for us to talk shit about celebrities and their drug problems but we don't know fuck all about what goes on behind closed doors or know these people personally. Drugs are an escape. It's like smoking. No one in their right mind actually wants to smoke and get all the health problems and diseases that it brings but something happens in a person's life that pushes them to make that choice. I personally think it all has to do with the individual. I have never smoked and I never will. I was offered many times in HS and I had the will to say no. I didn't give a fuck about fitting in with the crowd and all that shit. If they didn't like me because I didn't smoke, I didn't waste my time with them and found a new crowd to hang out with.
Unfortunately, some people aren't as strong. That doesn't mean the person is a piece of shit. People feel pressure and do things to get away from life and it's troubles. Everyone does it. The only difference is that we all choose different ways to do it, whether it be playing video games, smoking, drugs, whatever.
For the respect part, it's easy to NOT care about someone we don't personally know. It's easy to say "I hate *insert name*" but, in reality, you can't hate someone you have never met and got to know personally. I laugh at John Cena and didn't care that he was hurt. I infact was rejoiced. It's simply because I don't know him and think he's annoying but I think I would have a different opinion of him if I hung out with him and knew how he was. Just because I am annoyed by his WWE character doesn't mean he can't be a fun, cool person who actually ISN'T annoying to hang out with.
Everyone has a family and it is never great when a person dies, no matter how much you dislike them for whatever reason. I find it disgusting that people are happy when a celebrity dies.

Re: Jeff Hardy Suspended
A lot of the judgement's on here struck me as premature since we dont know why Hardy was suspended. Obviously it was his second Wellness Policy Violation, but I think the question of which substance he tested positive for should largely colour peoples' reactions to it.
I can accept painkillers or weed, but crystal meth or anything harder should be punished severely. If he's a hardcore drug addict he shouldn't be on TV until he completes a rehab program.
I think Matt should take him place winning MITB and go on to run (or swim) with the title opportunity.

Re: The lack of respect in a lot of cases
and where was a rant like this when every fuckwit was putting down DH Smith for testing positive with comments like "His dad died from steriods"?
2 things-
1)as if he didn't know
2"His Dad didn't die of Steriods
