He's hit it what? Twice since WM? And both times its not even been made to seem like a big move, the announcers barely put it over, they don't even say "He's setting up for his finish!" when he gets them in the Rainmaker position, they themselves don't even act as if they know its his finisher "He's setting up for something here it seems".
I mean he should be hitting it every week and putting it over in his promos, because as it is i doubt anyone in the crowd even knows what his finisher is atm, you ask any of them and they'll go "Um..The Pedigree?". By now there should be some kind of reaction when he sets up for it, but still crickets, because of how little he's used it.
He should be hitting it in brawls and the announcer should be putting over how devastating it is, they just aren't even trying.
Rollins doing the phoenix splash is always more impressive then the typical Indy/Japan geek doing it, because he's bigger than the majority of them. Seeing a guy that size do that move is always fun.
I wonder if they are still undecided on it. They had him attempt both this new finisher and the Phoenix Splash and they protected both by having Reigns dodge them as opposed to kicking out of them. If the Phoenix Splash poses no issues for his knees then they should just go with that as his finisher.
Idk about that how many guys do more impressive Phoenix splashes in the company? Neville and Rich Swann both hit theirs from the second rope, then there's guys like Ibushi, Ospreay and Ricochet who will put it to shame. Ospreay and Richoett do it from the second rope as well. He should just beg for the Curb stomp back.
Lol yeah forgot about that, can't believe they've still yet to even give it a name, as you said it would make it alot easier to put over on commentary if they actually give it a fucking name already.
Maybe they could just reuse what the curbstomp used to be called and call it The Blackout.
After his promo, I finally understand why he went with the V-Trigger.
"My biggest weakness (the knee) is now my greatest strength."
It's a nice bit of psychology that unfortunately seemed to go over almost everybody's head....you know....because we're all dumbass wrestling fans.
But, with all that being said, he's only gotten a chance to use it once in a random tag match against Gallows and Anderson. Maybe it won't work well as a finisher anyways, but we'll never know unless he's actually given a chance to...you know...use it once in a while.
It doesn't even have a fucking name yet :lol
And the fucking name it should be (Kingslayer) is standing there, looking Creative dead in the eye and going "Wtf dude?"
Damn i missed that promo, i had to go out for something, but thats a great way to put it over saying what was once was his weakness is now his greatest weapon.
What puzzled me was at the end of Raw and Michael Cole went through each of the 5 competitors for Sundays match and listed their finishers but when he said Seth he said Falcon Arrow!!!
Kingslayer is his nickname though, would be kinda weird having his finisher the same as his nickname, "the Kingslayer just hit the Kingslayer!".
Also as Ace pointed out, he didn't really beat Triple H with it so technically it hasn't slayed a king. Which was fucking dumb, if he wanted to get his new move over what better way than to hit at WM to defeat Triple H? Then it could have been called Kingslayer. Instead hitting that horrible Pedigree to end it.
I guess they tried doing that tonight ? In his promo he said Roman would catch a knee to the face or something but that's not good enough he needs to establish a name for it.
I could be wrong here but isn't his finisher already called the Kingslayer? Someone enlighten me on this (shows how much the Raw commentators put this deadly "move" over, no?). Anyways, since Seth Rollins is a "Babyface," why not have him use the God's Last Gift (like the one done on Finn Balor last year at SummerSlam), the Skywalker, or the Paroxysm as his finisher now? :hmm
The Curb Stomp comes off a bit too "Heel-ish" and literally everyone and their mothers use the Phoenix Splash nowadays. :quite
At least we saw the return of the Buckle Bomb. Just a shame Roman no sold it which was pathetic. This should be sold as the move that ended Sting's career and put Finn on the shelf for 7 months but good ole Roman just uses it as a way to set up yet ANOTHER superman punch.
The finisher looks shit when Rollins does it anyway. Maybe they are thinking of changing it, which is why its not really being highlighted.
