I think that the MITB PPV is a SD exclusive PPV because Vince dont want any cash in(or a failed cash in) on Brock or Roman.
Vince wants a long Brock title reign from WM33 until WM34 and then after WM34 another long Roman Reigns title reign(Vince is planning this Roman title reign since WM30 when he decided to end the Undertaker streak so Roman could get that streak/Brock rub) so Vince didn't want any cash in on either Brock or Roman.
Vince don't want any title changes on Raw. He is planning this Brock-Roman match for 3-4 years and he don't want any distractions.
Roman going over Brock at WM is Vince's main goal.
I am kind of excited about it because i can't remember a WWE match that they build for 4 years.
When i think about it now, The Rumble is in philadelphia next year. The same city Roman won the rumble in 2015. Maybe Vince wants to go back 2015 RTWM scenario to his original plan and start it all over again only this time Roman does wins it at Wrestlemania from Brock and get his ultimate coronation.
So, Roman wins the Rumble next year? He will main event Wrestlemania 34 ... That's for sure.
This time there will be NO MITB cash in that will ruin Roman's moment like in WM31 or Survivor Series 2015.
That is my opinion, what do you think? personally I don't see anyone holding the Universal title the next 15 months expect for Brock & Roman.
This whole Reigns-Brock WM34 build it's the worst thing I've ever seen in WWE. With Strowman out, the main event picture on RAW is so boring, I don't even watch the highlights. As much as a jobber Jinder is, he at least is defending his title and keeps the stories fresh. Reigns-Brock doesn't need the title and it shouldn't main event WM34.
It's actually very possible. This is a desperate situation where the RAW guys are faced with basically iron ceilings that they can't break whatsoever unless a miracle occurs. The upside of this is that whoever beats Reigns after WM34 would be elevated to a whole new level if he somehow gets booked right, but that's a huge "if" of course.
At this point you really can't expect WWE to have consistently "good" booking and "great" booking for even once. Something outside of their control will have to happen for anything that's really interesting to occur. A year is not a short time though, so we'll see.
I wanted them to have because it is really interesting when there is MITB around it is always making funny segments specially when you try to cash it but end up not.
It just can be used in very interesting segments.
Imagine Miz trying to cash against Brock Lesner. :grin2:
man roman beating lesnar at 34 is like slowly edging towards a cliff, you know that drop is coming but you cant do anything about it.
I mean the predictably of it will be off the charts if they cant throw in some kind of curve ball especially if it comes out that brock will indeed be done with wwe after wrestlemania.
2) Roman is boring as fuck. He makes me want to quit watching but I have invested nearly 30 years and it is hard to quit watching something I am so familiar with.
3) 2014 was fucking awful with the Daniel Bryan giving up the Title simply so Brock can take it hostage.
The first Roman/Brock match was shit. Everyone beats off to it simply because of Rollins cashing in. Many act like WWE switched plans on Roman not winning was a audible by Vince. I thought the cash-in was super predictable. While I enjoyed it I thought the Brock/Reigns portion of the main event was "suplex city" boring like a majority of Brock and Reigns matches.
That makes no sense whatsoever. Vince writes the show, he decides who cashes in, when they do it, and whether it works. In fact, the cash in at SS was so that Roman could win the title again at WM.
Isn't MITB a Smackdown PPV now?
I think they might only have one for the WWE title without the universal one
I never did like the whole "Two MITB" matches set up, it made it overused
Then again I feel the same about the MITB PPV itself and even Hell In a Cell and Extreme rules
Only the Royal Rumble seems to pull it off
It's a sound theory, but if the briefcase hasn't been cashed in people are still gonna chant "we want so in so" during the match even if it's not a Raw guy who holds it.
However, I wish they had done something to where SD earned that match over the Raw one. Like maybe make that the stip of that Survivor Series match. The winning brand gets MITB.
Even if this is their plan (which seems evident), they should have a MITB winner just to add subplots and additional storylines. Not to mention just for the match to add to what is going to be an incredibly weak MITB card.
This could be the perfect opportunity for them to have a failed cash in, so as to not have it be such a lock that the MITB winner always wins the title. A guy like Miz would be perfect for this, as it keeps him relevant, and him failing on the cash in doesn't really affect him. It would actually even build up Lesnar more. Have him go through a war against a Strowman or someone and still have him thwart the cash in attempt.
Reigns had below average matches with Triple H and Taker.
But he's had great matches with the big guys that are athletic: Brock, Big Show, Bray Wyatt, Rusev, and Braun.
