Remember how Brock supposedly brings a whole lotta credibility to the title? What good does that do when the title is AWOL? The titles have never seemed less important to me.
All it would take is 1 Heyman promo saying the Universal Championship will be defended at Summerslam so the roster better step it up from now to hopefully get a shot.
Its funny when Naomi got injured and was gonna be out for a few weeks they made her relinquish the title, but Lesnar gets the belt and he can show up whenever the fuck he wants and doesn't have to defend the title for 3 months and its ok. Don't do shit like stripping Naomi of the belt because shes gonna be out for 3 weeks if you're just gonna have Lesnar winning a title and not defending it for 3 months.
Just stop enforcing the 30 day rule on some but then letting it slide when fucking Lesnar gets it.
Guys we knew this was coming. When Goldberg became champion, then dropped to Lesnar. Lesnar is billed as a special attraction. And now so is the WWE title. We well only see it at the big ppvs. We probably well only see Brock in the build up to facing Strowman at Summerslam. Which he well probably win. Building to his mania match with Roman next year. I would personally make Lesnar drop the belt to Strowman at Summerslam. And go Strowman Roman main event mania next year. Why not. I think they have found a top guy in Strowman. But with Brock as champion. This won't be the case for a long time.
I understand having him there as a special attraction, I get that. But what sense does it make to give him the title, then never be on TV? Of course this is WWE in 2017, I don't think anybody is meant to understand what they're doing.
Lesnar should drop it to Strowman at Summerslam and then he drop it to Roman at Royal Rumble (Seeing how they will give the title to Roman no matter what) and with that they build Lesnar Roman again. I seriously don't want Lesnar having the title until next Mania which at the moment seems very likely.
I even predicted it here before it was talked about and rumored that if this is last Brock's final run then I don't think he will lose the title till Wrestlemania when his contract is expired but when I watched the show it is really so hard to not have the champion on show.
2014/2015 I didn't watch much and there was no brand split so I wasn't that annoyed and it looks like it was good that I didn't watch it.
I don't have favorites on RAW(They are in Smackdown) expect for Miz and Jericho with Strowman is growing to be my new one so I'm watching the show without any bias or things like this and that is maybe the reason I need to see the champ on the show.
I kind of want Brock to just lose it in the woods or on his farm. It's the worst championship design-wise and in its lineage. Only two of the title matches had no interference/shenanigans those matches being the inaugural Bàlor vs Rollins and Goldberg vs Brock.
The only thing that will hurt RAW is poor storytelling. The title being absent means jack if they can keep the viewers emotionally invested in something else. If anything it gives the championship an unattainable aura and in theory should make the defenses/title changes feel more special. 30 years ago Hogan held the championship for long stretches and rarely made TV, and that didn't stop the product from being white hot. You can put the title on Seth Rollins or Shrimp Balor and have them appear every week, but if the fans don't care about the storylines they're in then it in turn devalues the title by being associated with something that's not getting over.
The Main Event scene on Raw feels like its just Strowman. He feels like the only Main Eventer on the show. No one is talking about the Universal Title or Brock Lesnar, everyone else just feels like midcarders aimlessly floating around. Its the dumbest part about having Brock as Champion, everyone just seems to forget that the Universal Title even exists. Like in kayfabe why hasn't Kurt Angle made a Number One Contenders match, or tournament, or anything? Guys should be fighting each other right now to be the one to get a match with Brock when he gets off the couch.
That was three weeks ago now though, and Ambrose has beat down Miz every week, no reason they couldn't have had a logical IC Title match between the two at Payback and just have Ambrose squash Miz again.
I agree, it cheapens the title big time. If Lesnar wants the belt he should commit to being a full timer, if he can't do that then relinquish the title so that a full timer can step up to become champ.
I totally agree. It makes the Universal title, which didn't have that good of a reputation to begin with, look even shittier. Raw has no top title right now, it's pathetic.
So nobody here remembers Strowman telling Brock(the week before he Murder-Death-Killed Roman) that as soon as he took care of Roman Reigns, that he would have his(Brock's) attention.
The week after Strowman destroyed Reigns, what does he say? That he will go through the entire locker room to prove that he's a monster among men. WHAT THE FUCK? Didn't Braun want to get Brock's attention??? Wasn't THAT his goal?
I expected him to call him out but he didn't and THAT was what fucked things up.
my assumption is braun beats roman and calls brock out on raw
