Re: Will Seth be called the Kingslayer post Wrestlemania?
Seth Rollins might get that nickname if he does end up beating Triple H this Sunday. All I know is that I must have that new Kingslayer shirt. It looks so good :mark:
Re: Will Seth be called the Kingslayer post Wrestlemania?
If he beats HHH (which he likely will), I think the nickname would be used post-mania. Whether it is used extensively or permanently depends on the reception I think.
Re: Will Seth be called the Kingslayer post Wrestlemania?
If he beats HHH, it could be added to his list of nicknames he's starting to collect like "The Man". Just another name to throw in front for the commentary team. But the nickname that will most likely always stick with him is "The Architect".
If anything Kingslayer could be the name of his new finisher. But we shall see.
Re: Will Seth be called the Kingslayer post Wrestlemania?
Better than "The Architect". What the fuck is "The Architect"? Oh because he was the brains of The Shield! A group that disbanded three fucking years ago. I really wish they'd just drop branding individual wrestlers.
Re: Will Seth be called the Kingslayer post Wrestlemania?
Unless Seth actually retired Triple H from in ring competition or something then I don't think Kingslayer really fits. With a name like that you would have to have done something huge to HHH to slay the king. Only way I can see that is if he retires HHH.
But knowing WWE they'll probably just call him the kingslayer anyway, and put it on all his t-shirts.
No, it means he draws up plans and strategies on how to defeat the opponent lol.
I would call him Kingslayer if after Triple H he goes after former Kings of the Rings like Angle, Sheamus, Lesnar. He almost slayed Edge and Edge is a former King of the Ring lol.
Maybe with that nickname he should have a folk/power metal theme.
Re: Will Seth be called the Kingslayer post Wrestlemania?
I prefer "The Architect".
"The Kingslayer" works well within the context of this particular storyline, but assuming Seth Wins the match at WrestleMania and the feud ends, the context disappears.
Without the proper context, I don't think it will work as a permanent nickname.

Re: Will Seth be called the Kingslayer post Wrestlemania?
Kingslayer contains the word 'slay' and has homicidal connotations, so I suspect it won't become a full-time moniker for that reason alone.
Seth's in a strange spot. Intrigued to see what they do with him post-Mania because I fear he may become directionless without a strong programme and some character development.

Indeed. While I think most of us want the program with Triple H to come to an end at 'Mania, I fear that he may end up in exactly the same place he was for much of 2016 afterwards.
For whatever reason, WWE has had a very hard time figuring out what to do with Seth since his face turn. While the arc with Triple H is obvious, it all of the sudden becomes less obvious once he's out of the picture. Getting handed a billion title shots after Triple H turned on him certainly didn't help him in any way....It merely overexposed him, and I worry that's exactly what they'll do with him again.
Ideally, and I say this as a huge Rollins mark, they'll drop him into the upper midcard for a bit. Maybe put him into a tag team or something, so that when he is finally inserted into the title picture again, it won't feel redundant.
