Fantastic work tonight. The promo at the beginning was a perfect way of recapturing his original character. The domination of Sami was trademark early days KO. And he was mentioned during the Heyman/Brock segment multiple times which just made him feel like an even bigger deal. He just felt like a star again tonight. The crowd reacted to him just as they should have too after his major heel moment last week... now all we can do is just hope all this isn't ruined by a Goldberg burial at Fast Lane.

God, that was a great promo from Kevin Owens. I think it might be his best one so far in his WWE career.

That promo reminded me of that heel promo from Eddie Guerrero in 2005 on Smackdown after he turned on Rey Mysterio. Kinda like how Owens betrayed Chris Jericho last week. Plus, they both sat down on a chair in the dark with the camera zoomed in while they cut their promos.

Anyways, it's great to see Owens recieve that heel heat! Vicious KO is back....for now :eek:wens2

He was fantastic, and he got booed. This was the first WWE segment to garner the appropriate reaction in I don't know how long, it felt like I was watching wrestling when it was actually hot.

That's how you get a heel booed, they have to be fighting a babyface who's more popular than them. Hopefully that was a wake up call to them, but we all know it wasn't.

His doom at Fast Lane is certain, though, don't ever doubt that. Brock has basically stated that he's not interfering because he wants the title, so there's the escape hatch gone. The important thing is whether or not he can regain any momentum the next few weeks after.

I disagree. Brock was never his escape hatch, because it never ever made sense for Brock to sabotage his own chance at the title. Instead, his conversation with Triple H, which prompted the Jericho beat down is the escape hatch, which many have suggested is help from Samoa Joe and the formation of a stable. Owens refused to explain anything about WHY he killed Jericho last week, which means whatever Triple H offered him is still a mystery, which means that he's keeping it a secret, which implies... Escape Hatch for Fastlane.

He got excellent heel heat. It was actually refreshing to hear the crowd genuinely boo him out of disdain.

I gotta hand it to WWE Creative. They actually pulled the trigger with the backstab at the height of Jericho's likeability/overness. Add that to the corporate Scumbag Kevin with the amazing promo = homerun.

Maybe we can finally get some credibility to god-awful Universal Title.

People said the literal exact same thing about the Rumble match with Roman. Memba?

Just saw the Zayn match. Joe looks like a beast, and the commentary did a great job of selling KO as the NXT monster heel. So did Heyman! I'm loving that the champ is being considered... I dunno, a VIOLENT MONSTER CHAMPION again.

Oh and before I forget, they did another great job of making Sami look like the valiant fighting baby face. Cheap shot attack from behind, and he's still unwilling to give up and go home.

yea let him retain at fastlane, then lets have Jericho beat him for the title at wrestlemania and become the first ever man to be a WCW WORLD CHAMPION, WWE CHAMPION, WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION and UNIVERSAL CHAMPION, drink it in maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan :jericho3

They gave him the opening segment to promo, just him. They put him over massively in the Zayn match, and then Heyman put him over against spending half his promo talking about Owens.

When you factor in all of that with the fact that we still don't know what he was promised to beat up Jericho, everything points towards KO retaining.

It's very similar to Reigns/KO at the Rumble. EVERYONE was sure Reigns was winning when the match was announced. Then Reigns pinned him clean on TV, then the shark cage was added, then the no DQ stip. All signs pointed to KO retaining and he did. But, could it just simply be they are building him up to make Goldberg look like he actually destroyed a credible champion? We will see.
