And well we are here 7 months later, I took some hiatus from wrestling but I started watching again a few weeks ago and actually I got impressed things are somewhat decent now! (both RAW and Smackdown), others just remains the same like
Vince and HHH losing years of their life trying to make Reigns a over top face at all cost and well... Seth Rollins
being the same boring character so I wonder, how many months gonna take to get the promised redesign? another 7.
And gets some of the best reactions week in and week out..Good to see people are still obsessed. I hope he's booked at the top going forward just to piss 15 year old geeks on here off.
Im not gonna say anything about whether hes lifeless or not, but I wouldnt be so quick to bring up reactions. If the internet turns on you (not saying they are turning on him, but theres a lot of negativity around him recently), then its just a matter of time before it translates to live crowds.
I remember when people turned on Ambrose and his marks were saying the crowd still loved him. And a month later he got badly booed at Backlash. Although to be fair to him he has rebounded. But you get the point.
All they need when he came back was to go "Look, I blew out my knee and I've had a long time to think about my behavior..."
BOOM. One sentence and he's starting the journey to being an actual face. Then you just go from there and you have MONTHS of easy obvious stories to tell as you redeem the chicken shit power hungry asshole into a genuinely likable face. You show that he has regret. You slowly start to show that he's rethinking his behavior and his values. You not only EXPLAIN why he's turning into a good guy we're supposed to cheer, but you keep giving him story stuff every week so the audience stays invested in his character.
He hasn't had a plot for like three weeks? What is his story line right now? He's just waiting until Mania.
Yeah spot on "I blew out my knee and I sat there for months, not a single person sending me well wishes, absolutely nobody missing me and it made me reflect on everything I did wrong, I abandoned my brothers and was it worth it in the end?" And off you go, instead of, so, HHH screwed me so now I am a good guy.
Seth has been having to try to turn crap into gold because he is feuding with HHH who isn't even there. So they have been sticking him with the single worst possible choice Roman Reigns, which will make the fans turn on him. He's trying to be a face, so why not put him in a tag team for a while with someone else who needs camera time?

I couldn't for the life of me remember what Seths last storyline was. Was it literally the Jericho filler stuff on the road to Triple H? He feuded with KO and lost, then he went up against Jericho and won. Then for the last few weeks I'm fairly sure he's been out of the story and just kind of floating around doing nothing.
The Rollins Reigns double turn when he got back would have been epic. It's best not to think about all the great plots they could tell, cause Vince is just going to shit it out the night of anyway.
I think that Seth Rollins was cool the first days but then, it easily got tired after a few months because he had nothing to do.
If the WWE was smart ? This would've been epic, Seth Rollins returns as a face and double turn with Roman Reigns or something. At least, have him return and be against The Authority, wanting to do things his way.
Instead, they did something stupid. He came back as a heel as he was when he left, beat Reigns clean for the title and loses it directly after. And THEN, they had a Fatal-4-Way where Triple H eliminated Rollins and Reigns all by himself and Owens only did the pinfall.
So, what does it mean ? Seth Rollins is the bully who got bullied, Kevin Owens is the champion who didn't win the title and Triple H is the lazy who don't want to be on screen until the Road to Wrestlemania which left everybody with nothing. I mean, you could complain about it but at the same time, they had to keep Rollins in the title picture knowing he would never win it until the Rumble. Hard task to do
As for the whole new Seth Rollins, it's done. They did not do it when he came back from a injury and not when he was a face. There is no change coming anymore, they wasted that spot
Anyone who is not involved in the title scene and is not named Braun is completely lost in the shuffle right now.
I don't know if it's a lack of ideas for superstars or just plain lazyness but it's pathetic that a big team of script writers can barely manage 3 or 4 guys per show and the rest get stuck with sh*t.
I'll always like Rollins because he's DATGUY but for anyone trying to garner interest in him what is there? He is constantly running out to "save" the most unpopular face on the roster. And when did he actually turn face? What happened and what was the motivation behind it?
He came back as heel and a few weeks later he's supposed to be face. If that was the plan why have him come back as a heel in the first place, it seems pointless looking back.
It Vince if bored of Seth as some suggest then it's another main eventer he's ruining but as long as Reigns and Braun get over who cares, right?
His priorities are f*cked up and no wonder people end up irrelevant or not quite what they could be with all these stop start pushes.
Seth has been in limbo treading water, awaiting the son-in-law to return for his annual feud. Plus WWE squandered their chance to make him red hot because the crowd desperately wanted Seth as a face upon his return from injury.
They totally destroyed any potential for the 'new' Rollins by attempting to flip him after bringing him back as the old Rollins. WWE had a gift laid at their feet, as the fans were itching for a face return, which of course they ignored and wasted, and now the fans for the most part just aren't buying it.
Rollins biggest problem is they haven't given him anything to do until HHH comes back, should have had him have a side feud, someone like Rusev would've been ideal until they were ready for HHH.
I'm actually looking forward to the feud a lot mainly because it will give Rollins something to do and hopefully that kick start his face run needs
To be fair to Rollins, he is stuck is absolute limbo. Triple H won't even show up. I'm looking forward to their program though, if that flops, then idk what to tell you.
I just think Rollins is more suited to playing a heel anyway. Everyone that talks wrestling has always said he's a natural face. but I just don't see it that way. I have not watched his pre WWE stuff so I'm going by what I've seen from him in WWE up until now. The way he carries himself, the way he talks, and the way he looks just screams heel to me.
He's on a bit of a back burner now since he fell out of the world title picture, since then he's basically just been filling time until his feud with Triple H really kicks off. Not his fault he has nothing to do.
It's not like he's a terrible babyface who can get a reaction ( reaction are great btw ) but i can't wait they turn him heel. Dude has been doomed since months for two majors reasons
1) they turned him babyface but did almost nothing with him but loosing to Owens in the main event of two ppvs in a row just cause WWE are autistic about Reigns they want him to be the top guy no matter how much fans can boo his ass and being in the final segment of RAW every week so Seth shut your mouth and take the back side buddy :vince :reigns2
2) he's feuding with a ghost since more than 5 months.... no one care about his up midcard match with Strowman or his boring ass feud with Jericho. Not sure he enjoys it either
-Taking away the curbstomp
-Not having him come back from injury as a babyface
-Being joined at the hip with Reigns
Those factors really hurt his momentum and I think will hurt his legacy. The WWE doesn't view or present Rollins as superior to Reigns. He's his Robin just like Ambrose was before the draft. Ambrose has thrived since the draft.
Okay so after read all reply's seems that not only I but "Rollins character development" was on hiatus for 5 months too lol, I was never fan of the guy but I'm interested in how this feud with HHH gonna end.
He pretty much lost all the momentum he had when he got injured the year before. Came back at a time when WWE had more or less moved on, and assumed the role of filler guy while he waited for his feud with Triple H to ignite.
Even if he gets "back on track" when Triple H comes back into the picture again, is it just gonna be the same program as what they did with Reigns last year? Is Triple H gonna spend the rest of his career wrestling the Shield in some kind of rotation? At this point I don't think even Triple H will help Rollins find himself again which is a shame as I do like the guy and he can wrestle a great match his booking is just garbage. This is the case with most of WWE sadly, though.
