I guess they're done with Strowman

I need an explanation of why Braun Strowman was nowhere to be found. Why bring the Big Show back if not to set up a feud between the two? I get not using him against Rollins because that would bury him at this stage, but really, nothing? Couldn't interfere in Owens match because of the Zayn beef? Get another squash match? Just annoying.

Don't you have any patience? Why use Strowman/Big Show this soon? They will have their interaction at the Royal Rumble. Probably after that Strowman will get a clean win at Fastlane. There's no need to rush this feud.
So the few week build up with him squashing Zayn is just done? Just do a pointless Owens Zayn #600 instead? :eyes:

This is what I'm hoping. He beats Show clean but the match is at least competitive. Or you have him lose dirty because of Zayn interfering next week and set up David v Goliath at RB with hopefully Goliath going over. They can use so many angles to continue his build. I just don't want to get to the rumble and have him just be some other guy like half the participants usually are.

They basically build feuds in 2 ways these days:

1. Wrestlers have a match and then 1800 rematches afterwards.
2. 1 guy shows up while the other guy isn't there.

Obviously they're going with the 2nd option here. Watch Strowman be on Raw next week but Show "conveniently" isn't there. Rinse and repeat until the Rumble.

Was really perplexed that it was The Big Show and not Braun that was Rollins' opponent. They've pushed him as a legitimate monster, and someone who isn't a 'team player'. Last night would make just as much sense with Braun, arguably more after the pre-SS 'team talks'.

As it is I'm left wondering if Big Show turned face in the ring last night? I mean he came out in a heel role (punishment opponent), then leaves onside with Rollins? At least Braun could've walked off not caring, as it is now I'm left thinking "So Big Show hates KO/is friends with Rollins?" There's no reason Show wouldn't have choke slammed both of them and won the match. Just strange booking.

Because they could not conceivably have ended that match like they did with Strowman. He's supposed to be a wrecking machine who won't stop until his opponent is dead. They could get away with Big Show slamming KO and leaving the match like that, but it would make zero sense to do that with Strowman character they're building. If the story line called for Rollins to get squashed, then Strowman would have been the right choice. But that wasn't the point of this 'match'.

I think the point is why The Big Show was used instead of Strowman? Big Show hasn't been booked as a credible main event monster in a long time. Braun is currently being built up in that manner.

Can't think many people wanted a squash match to open Raw, but why they didn't use their current, main event, monster heel is confusing. Especially when Zayn apparently wanted to fight him, but was told no so he could fight Owens? Even that booking makes more sense if Braun is already fighting Rollins.

Owens already having Braun booked into a match would make Zayn vs. Owens have some rhyme or reason. The only reasons I can think not to book Braun in Big Show's spot are injury or to 'protect' him, but from what? He could've finished the match the way Show did - just slightly less smiley. Having Braun dominate Rollins until he turned on Owens would've actually done Braun some good.

As things stand it looks like he'll be back to crushing midcarders pretty soon. It isn't a shame because I wanted anything close to last night's Raw, but because they had the perfect opportunity to use a monster they are building. And they got Show in to do it instead.

This is the classic approach to a monster match build-up, and WWE doesn't do nearly enough of it. Build up two unstoppable monster forces totally separately and put them on a collision course from opposite sides of the world, instead of having them in a match with each other every fucking week. The actual match itself when it finally happens is probably gonna be shit, but there will be a high level of curiosity to see which unstoppable force will finally be stopped. And people won't be sick of it before it ever happens.

Normally I don't care about Show, pretty much put him in same class as Kane tbh, but for the sake of a feud/match with Brawn, ill see how it goes.

A big hoss face coming back to try and take Strowman down is always the natural progression they take and hopefully if Show is back more motivated, two big fuckers going at it may just work for this particular instance.

Unless WWE decide to drag it out and they end up having a million matches or something. Other than this though, still don't have much interest in Show.
