I'm re-watching the match and I've already seen about 5 superman punches . It's annoying , they mean nothing . He just keeps throwing them . Vant done

It's really annoying because at least the spear looks like it can catch you off guard, but half of Roman's Superman punches are done after bouncing guys off the rope who stare at his fist for 2 seconds before getting hit. I think the drive-by, superman punch and spear should all be power moves, but that awesome powerbomb he does should be his finisher.

There is nothing wrong with being a one trick pony, but if you are, you need crazy charisma and/or ring presence like Hogan, Rock, Austin, Goldberg, Cena.
And clearly, Reigns does not have that.

Come on op. Who among us didn't spam quick in easy moves playing in fatal 4 way or triple threat matches so we can get a pin without someone breaking it up? I had a caw with a standard spear in the 2008 svr I'd drop a dude with a finisher and spear the other 2 cause the selling animation bought me a few seconds

It's always the same shit. Guy throws about 1000 of them every match and you can see them all coming from a mile away.

I even liked the move at first, but he spams it in such ridiculous and unimpactful ways that I just got tired of it. It was literally the only good thing about him, and now I can't even have that.

It was a little annoying, and only served to highlight Roman's pretty limited moveset (especially when you consider his hype video package beforehand - nothing but spears, superman punches and drive-by's).

That being said - how many times have we seen guys kick out of Roman's superman punch before last night? There's not too many occasions leaping to mind, but last night we had three or four kick outs. Hopefully this means they're trying to reduce the idea of how 'devastating' it is as a move.

To be honest, I've always felt the move was a little stupid regardless. It's the one thing I actually really don't like about Roman, masturbating your arm and jumping a foot off the floor doesn't convince me that the punch should be any more impactful than all the others he throws in a match. I do hate that a lot of people who criticise high-flying moves are Roman marks who seem fine with this ridiculous move tbh. It's hardly a power-house move, it's a ballerina punch. I'd much prefer if the spear took the place of the superlame punch and his sit-out crucifix powerbomb became his finisher. I've even been using the sit-out last ride powerbomb as his finisher as a facsimile on 2k16.

Yeeee flame roman all you want but you won't say a word about Ambrose matches.

Seth > roman > Ambrose in terms of their matches we have seen so far.

flaming super push of Roman is fine even i am against it but he is way better than ambrose in the ring.

Ambrose move set is so boring i always fast forward his matches. Suicide dive lazy ass punches, over the top rope elbow dive whatever you call it & a clothesline from the ropes, DDT that's it.

Quite frankly if you see all of the moves today are so overused including finishers. PPV matches are big proof of that.

I will take roman matches any day over Lesnar, ambrose, miz matches

While I do think he spams the hell out of it, I don't think it looks stupid. It's just an exaggerated version of a real Superman Punch for the most part, which is an MMA maneuver. Reigns just jumps a lot more into his, and obviously doesn't put force behind his punch and lunge forward off of one leg the way they usually do.

ThAt is why I was dissapointed in the match. When Cass was eliminated, and we had three good workers left, I thought they could have put on a GREAT show. But instead all I got was Reigns beating the shit out of both of them with superman punches, and a powerbomb. He kept beating on them until HHH came out. Owens got superman punched like three FUCKING times. All in 5 minutes. And then he kept reversing Seth and did his plethora of moves. I wish it wasnt as one sided as it was.

I don't mind it. It's pretty understandable that he would use the same move a number of times in a match as opposed to using some random move that he doesn't do. His moveset is pretty limited, but I don't care. You don't need to need to know 1000 moves in order to be a good wrestler. I like the move all things considered, it gets a nice pop and there's just something about it that makes me think it's cool.
