Roman Reigns was always going to fail, at least as a face. He's a horrid talker, he has no face charisma, he has nothing special about him to make fans love him. Hence why they don't. It's crybaby talk to blame Daniel Bryan, it wasn't all because of that. It was because the fanbase realized here comes another rocket push, to another bland WWE assembly-line guy, and they turned on the very notion of that because it's fucking old. Of course, if Roman Reigns was actually a good performer, he would have transcended this situation and became a star anyways. But he's not. And didn't.
The last guy(s) to get the big pushes were Cena, Punk, Bryan. All three of them did what? Established themselves in the undercard, midcard, got over, won fan support, honed their skills, etc.. Roman Reigns did NONE of these things. He played hot tag guy in the Shield, which were presented to make him be the star, and they thought that was enough smoke and mirrors to push him. So at Rumble, the fans realize Bryan is being ignored again, for another generic WWE assembly line push where they TELL US what we're going to like, and he gets turned on. He has every chance for two years to win the fans back with promos, matches, booking him like a fucking god, and he can't do it because he just isn't a good pro wrestler. Fans just fucking groan now when another Roman Reigns push starts, because it's all just another smoke and mirrors trick to try and "fool" the fans into liking him. His reactions have always been atrocious given his push, he never had full support of the audience, I've never seen a supposed face of the company type draw such dead or negative crowds. So many fans just simply don't give a fuck about him, hence why they stopped watching, stopped buying tickets, and walked out on so many of his shows.
No top guy in history has ever needed this level of dick holding to be a star. Roman Reigns is not a star, was never going to be a star, and it's fucking stupid that there's still an argument about that after three years, just because his butthurts can't take responsibility for their failed arguments and say "I was wrong about Roman Reigns." Nope. Has to be everyone else's fault that Roman Reigns failed, and there's still some magical booking solution to make him a mega-star :lol
