Big bruiser of a dude who wrestles well, has great intensity, can cut a promo when given the chance, and has a hot as fuck fiance in Lana. All that wrapped together with a nice bow on top.
Considering Raw’s only established main eventers besides Brock 10 times a year are Rollins and Reigns, it’s only a matter of time until Rusev gets that real main event shot. And it will be well deserved.
Absolutely. I've always thought that Rusev was just all around great. The look, in ring ability, charisma, even does good on the mic. Make it happen, WWE.
He's rebuilt and, to a degree, reinvented himself so once Rusev loses the US Title (hopefully to a good adversary, ex. Sami Zayn), give him a crack at that top spot. I'm also looking forward to him feuding with Reigns so if we can squeeze that in before he gets a World Title match, I'm down.
Rusev and Owens are the top heels in the roster. These two should stop going for the midcard titles already and go for the main ones. Shield guys cant always hog the spot for ever and I am saying this as a Shield fan.
I wouldn't mind it but it is certainly not my first preference. I would go with Kevin Owens first. IMO KO is the most consistent and the best heel on the entire WWE roster.
With Rusev.. its all the same USA USA USA vs Russia bs. I am not interested to see that in the mainevent.
From the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be about Curtis Axel.
As for Rusev becoming a main eventer, sure. He still needs a little time to establish himself a bit more. I could see him becoming a main eventer within the next year and a half.

Well, with the Cruiserweight Title coming up and the fact that they don't have a World Champ on Raw, Rusev could just retires the U.S Champ and bring back the World Title while the Cruiserweight Title replaces the U.S Title... but I'm probably dreaming
And I think Rusev should be World Champ totally, especially because we haven't seen the guy in his prime. He had fine matches and good little segments but when he starts having 30 minutes matches in the Main Event of a PPV and gets to do epic promos every week, he could kill it
If he does, Lana needs to start pulling her weight.
She never cuts promos, never gets involved in matches, does nothing to help push Russev. Look at Stephanie McMahon in 2000, she is the perfect example of what a manager should be, constantly getting involved, shit-talking opponents, attacking them after the match.
Either get rid of her, or have her actually do something. I mean, she is meant to be a heel, right?
In my opinion - Rusev has everything needed to be a genuine top heel (or face to be honest, his humour and mannerisms out of the ring could easily be adapted to being a face too), and aside from KO, there isn't really anyone else on Raw that fits that profile.
Whenever he drops the US title he should be moving up the card and into that main player circle tbh. Rusev has got everything in that monster heel guise for him to have a great run at the top, esp with Lana with him too. I just hope they don't fuck him up again and we have to through this all over again though.
Rusev is the total package, good in the ring, good charisma and pretty decent on the mic. He even does the little things well such as facial expressions etc, not to mention his Twitter is hilarious at times :rusevyes
Rusev is great. He's one of the best character workers in WWE. His heel mannerisms are brilliant and he has charisma despite English not being his first language. I'd like to see him get a main event run before long.
He has it all. He can wrestle, he can promo, he can be serious, funny, has a dominating presence and physical charisma, along with a gorgeous woman by his side. Rusev is the total package and should absolutely be WWE Champion some day, IMO.
He has everything you'd want, an imposing look, good wrestling ability, good mic skills, a high level of intensity, his gimmick could use a bit of tweaking i think but apart from that he's easily main event worthy.
He would make for a great transitional champion. That's right, I said it.
