Ain't seen a thread for this to my surprise, but i'm generally looking forward to this. These guys are of a similar stature, Ryback a little bit bigger of course, but I just feel it's going to be a worthwhile feud.

I ain't expecting five star matches, but Rusev is quite athletic for a big guy and Ryback seems to be getting better in the ring, I can see there matches being at least entertaining and hopefully some promising promos. Already picturing Ryback talking about "The big guys country".

Also the other good thing about this, is Ryback is a legit threat who could actually beat Rusev and whether he do's or not is yet to be seen however this IMO is the best opportunity to allow Rusev to drop the US title after a few months of feuding with the big guy. Which then allows the opportunity for Rusev to feud with someone in the ME and allows Ryback his first and long over due singles championship.

...or you could just allow Rusev to CRUSH Ryback. Either way I don't really care about the outcome. I'm just looking forward to seeing these two go at it.

fpalm Jesus christ, I know it's scripted. I'm talking Kayfabe wise, the guy is bigger than Rusev. he's been on a reasonable push since returning - what I'm saying is with a match between these two, for me anyways there is a question mark over who's going to win. With anyone else it was obvious Rusev was going to be the winner.

To those saying Ryback isn't credible enough to beat Russev. . .Ryback's size and look make him credible despite WWE's horrible booking of him to date. He can never totally dive down into oblivion because of his size and strength, but WWE clearly does need to book him stronger if he's ever going to be successful.

Anyway, unfortunately it's unlikely Ryback will win since Russev is simply pushed way stronger. The outcome is painfully obvious until WWE starts booking Ryback better. He needs some meaningful fueds. Credible opponent for Russev, but it's hard to get super excited for this matchup since I still can't think of a single real fued Ryback's actually been booked to win.

Basically, the only thing that isn't credible is WWE's booking of Ryback.

To be honest, I think they just used Ryback as a placeholder because they were out of upper-midcard faces. But if you think about it, his booking hasn't be that strong since the RybAxel break-up either.

Sure, he won against Kane. Who didn't ? Pretty sure he doesn't have the momentum needed to be considered a serious threat to Rusev's rampage.

Doesn't interest me in the slightest. I wasn't all that impressed with Rusev at first, he just seemed like your average big guy with a ridiculous 80s gimmick being built with squash matches. He has proven me wrong though, he's quite talented and I'm hoping he'll do well. Plus, who doesn't like Lana?
Ryback is not very good though. He has improved a little bit, but nothing is thrilling about him. Still, a match or feud might be good. I just hope Ryback isn't the first to defeat him.

Ryback should end Rusev's streak at Wrestlemania, IMO. Dude is still ridiculously over after that awful year and a half jobbing out to pretty much everyone, and he can become a huge star if WWE treats him right. One of the biggest mistakes they've made was turning Ryback heel, it was just so pointless and nonsensical that I almost dug a hole on my forehead facepalming.

Who knows how big he would be right now if he remained the unstoppable monster face he was back then.

Don't know what to expect here. They could be ending Ryback's push and sending him back to mid card hell. His pops have died down drastically since his redebut. Cesaro made him look like a fool and he hasn't been able to recover since. The booking team ruined him with their inconsistencies. First with those pointless 15 minute matches, then getting eliminated first at Survivor Series, then beating Rollins on a random episode of Smackdown, then doing nothing of note before fighting a terrible chairs match with Kane at TLC. I think Rusev's burial is reserved for Wrestlemania. It would be stupid to end him now with the ratings being so low.

I agree with this. No point in letting Ryback out of all people to end the streak. His credibility is not that good at the moment and ending Rusev's streak might do him good but lets be honest, they'll probably ruin Ryback later on. That's how inconsistent they are with him.

I hope Rusev comes out of this in good shape. The roster is especially thin in younger heels. Rusev has the ability to be one of their best moving forward if they don't mess it up with him.

Hopefully they steer clear of just making this another Muroican hero standing up to Rusev and just have it about 2 big guys wanting to fight.

It seems like odd timing though; No way Rusev loses this feud, these guys always lose to established top guys. But Ryback was really hot in his return so putting him in a feud he cant win seems pretty stupid.

Wwe is fin ding out the hard way that their lack of planning is catching up to them. They shoehorn ed bray v ambrose, then realized neither can afford to lose. Ryback returns, fans take to him immediately and realize neither he or rusev can afford to look weak now.

So stupid. It gets worse when orton returns as a face.

Somewhere, somehow there needs to be somebody all these guys can beat who the audience thinks might beat the good guy

Orton doesn't have any thing to lose, he's already established. He can lose the next twenty-five matches and it wouldn't matter.

Part of me thinks WWE wouldn't be stupid enough to have Ryback be the one to go over Rusev 2 months before Wrestlemania.

Then again, part of me remembers thinking WWE couldn't be dumb enough to destroy Bray Wyatt's and Seth Rollins' momentum by having them lose big matches that they didn't need to lose in any way.

I see a lot of people making the assumption that Rusev will get a big ME match, which I hope for as well. However having the US title henders that IMO, which is why i think he'll drop that before moving onto someone like Cena. Unless they just want to bury the US title even more by making it irrelevant to the feud, then I don't see him having the belt when he comes to facing the likes of Cena.

This feud whilst it could be good, could also end up a disaster.

Ryback needs to win but Rusev surely isn't losing until WM. I am worried Ryback will be the one to end the streak, he is certainly Rusev's toughest opponent to date.

Honestly WWE are better off getting Rusev's first loss out of the way. Generally the longer these streaks go on the more damage is done when they finally lose as guys tend to tumble down the card quickly after that first loss.
