That was a huge fucking pop he got, and saving fucking Cena of all people. What happened to you guys saying the fans already hate this guy? Great fucking reaction for our next megastar.

You can pop for him all you want, just wait until he wrestles a match longer than 5 minutes against someone who isn't Randy Orton or Seth Rollins....

You may have won this battle, but the haters will win the war, believe that.

Reigns right now is 2005/2006 pre marine Cena, The hate is there but it's not widespread yet

Did you hear dat fuckin ROAR from the crowd when he came out tonight OOOOWEEEEE, blew the roof right off the place, yes he did, the dude is over as fuck! He had at least 10% of the crowd like

Honestly, who else gets huge reactions like this? Ambrose? Ziggler? Bryan? PFFFFT PLEASE
THIS guy is clearly the dude the fans have chosen and he should DEFINITELY should beat the guy who broke the Undertaker's 21 year long undefeated streak for the WHC at WM31

I heard a nice return pop. That's the only way they're going to manage to keep Reigns over, since he can't wrestle and isn't in a stable anymore.

1) make him do 1-2 squash matches/2-3 tag-team matches
2) give instructions to the other wrestlers to injure him as soon as possible so nobody can get he's boring
3) Reigns returns to a pop and is still over

Repeat.

Dat long pause he did along with messing up. :lmao:lmao:lmao

2015 starts with Cena and this guy. Future's bright indeed.

And yeah, it was a good pop.

Best post in here. With all do respect but any one who generalizes the IWC in this way is just being foolish. Thread title is awful, This thread is the equivalent of this...

just directed at anyone who hates Reigns.

Reigns detractors are really starting to get to some of the Reigns marks on here and it's starting to show in posts and threads.

...and on the other side of the fence we have:

You can pop for him all you want, just wait until he wrestles a match longer than 5 minutes against someone who isn't Randy Orton or Seth Rollins....

You may have won this battle, but the haters will win the war, believe that.
I facepalmed myself into a coma.

And the funny thing is, even with the botch- that people on this site are laughing about- he STILL got a good response from the crowd. They ate that promo up like he delivered it with perfection. That's how you know that guy can capture a crowd if he just finds his footing. I believe he will. WWE just has to give him time and a fleshed out character he can build on.

It wasn't that big, and it was the first time he had any kind of action in months, and he beat up Big Show who everyone is fucking tired to death of. Wait until the build up to the Rumble when everyone realizes how inadequate he is to be a top star. Batista got a pop when he returned to, and when nobody wanted to see him on top, the fans gave him the axe.

Remember the pops Ryback used to get? Then people saw him wrestle more than 5 minutes and he was a disaster.
Same will hold true for Reigns.

Did you hear that botched promo by Reigns LMAO
Ryback has a better wrestling repertoire than Reigns and it aint close.

Reigns was predicted to flop in May as soon as The Shield disbanded. It's now December, going into 2015. His reactions have been consistent. He's been over all by himself without the benefit of Ambrose or Rollins "carrying" him.
You do remember the part where he was riding the leftover momentum from the Shield's overness and then wasn't on TV for 4 months?

this is the difference with an NXT crowd and a WWE crowd.

This is why I admit greater show always said that. NWA type show, pure, focused and it has a focus group that expresses hometown love.

Roman Reigns shows up there and is booed. Ok we get it because the smark crowd is internet savvy there and are the 25% of fans that are reading dirtsheets and hearing podcasts. Roman Reigns shows up tonight through the crowd not one bit of hate. He's over with the casual, question is can he continue it with this terrible booking crew and creative department.

Yeah, he got a huge pop. He was coming off winning Superstar of the Year, to make a "surprise" return, after Cena had been getting screwed over, and after Big Show showed up. But I'm not denying the pop. He gets pops. He's pretty popular. He comes out looking like goddamn Smoke from Mortal Kombat, does his punch, then a spear, then another punch, and that's what gets me. That's what his matches look like too. He's more formulaic than Cena is in that sense. I recognize that he has potential and that he has it. But why do some of you love him? Without saying "He brings the hype" or "He has it," what is your reasoning? Like, I honestly do not understand. We all like different things for different reasons, but yeah.

Reigns is style over substance.
There's no problem in that, as long as the rest of the main event roster can compensate. Think about it, people loved the Ultimate Warrior and still do. Why? Because he had style, and because the likes of Hogan, Savage, Undertaker, Andre and Rick Rude could help paper the cracks.

I view Reigns in the same way. He's not a great talker, but he has a presence, and an awesome aura of invincibility around him that needs to be protected. He looks cool, has an awesome style, and that gets peoples attention. So what if he can't put on five star matches? All WWE need to do is bring more new people up to the main event level, and his flaws won't be so noticeable.

I don't get how people wanna undermine that big pop Roman got?? Did you guys go "Oh, Dean got a big pop because he ran in/just returned!" or "Yeah, Daniel Bryan only got a pop because he came back." No, you guys just accept it as a great reaction. I don't know how Roman is any different. He's over. Not Bryan over, but he gets some good reactions.

"Confirmation bias, also called myside bias, is the tendency to search for, interpret, or remember information in a way that confirms one's beliefs or hypotheses." Pretty much that. I personally don't like Reigns but I agree he got a good pop.

Reigns is hugely over. I don't get why people keep saying he isn't. They are projecting and in denial.

And frankly I don't get it. Everyone wants WWE to build a new star, they are clearly doing that... but almost no one in the IWC is happy about it. Clearly people don't want WWE to build a new star, they want them to elevate their internet darling specifically. Fuck anyone else they are building up.

Reigns will likely win the title at Mania, and everyone on here who has said forever WWE won't build new stars will consider this new face in the main event "a dark day for WWE fans." It makes no sense.

Reigns is a larger than life presence with a good look who fans love. Will be be the next Hogan or Austin? Very likely not. But while WWE has made some bad decisions giving Reigns the ball is not one of them. He isn't my favorite, but looking at it from WWE's standpoint, they would be stupid NOT to go the route they are going with him. Fans just need to get over their butt hurt it isn't Ambrose/Ziggler/Rollins or whoever else they think it "should be"
