This picture shows why talents of the current era are total shit compared to 90s.

Even after all these years, this company is riding on late 90s success. Even today, it takes a Attitude era star to return inorder to make RAW feel atleast somewhat important.

Absolutely pathetic.

I'm pretty sure it's PG Era fans calling it over-rated. They just don't admit that they are. Like all the people saying "I'm not a Cena fan" but defending him in every post. :lmao

Besides, Hulk & Warrior shirts have been in the crowd for most of this year. So that argument doesn't make sense anyway.

Fuck the Attitude Era. It means nothing anymore. People who say 'bring back the attitude era' are not very bright.. You can't bring back an era and WWE is making more money now then they did back then.

What a surprise, this coming from a CM punk fan, a guy who is the lowest drawing champion since JBL.

Anyone remember Lawler's comment to punk back in 2012 comparing to The Rock? "You couldn't electrify a fish tank, if you threw a toaster in it" :lmao :ti

Maybe if they had decent merch for their up and coming acts, it would change. This is the best they can do for Dean Ambrose, perhaps the hottest new act in wrestling:

It took them like 2 years of Daniel Bryan being hot to finally get him a decent t-shirt.

not about decent merch is about the impact that DX, NWO and ECW had. You aren't going to see a 3MB, Nexus, Shield shirt in 20 years time.

It's not like WWE doesn't say that the Attitidue Era was so significant in countdowns and documentaries.

WWE spams the Rock, Austin, and Hogan whenever possible. It spams Cena too but the mystique, nostalgia of the past will always beat reality.

Maybe if Dean Ambrose showed up somewhere with a tank. He'd be remembered too.

I'll just wait a few more years to see the white CM Punk t-shirts still being used.

Also, that DX shirt was in 2007? That's the watered down version where they did nothing but sell merch.

But it's none of my business.

The historical influence of WWE is one of the most important aspects of wrestling. With Iconic figures such as Hulk, Austin, Andre, Rock, HBK and others, it makes sense that wrestling resorts to nostalgic feelings to invoke a response. This is not an actual sport where every year we have no up and coming talent to cheer for, the roster and actual time on screen is just not big enough. We are limited to who we could potentially cheer for in Wrestling because their time is so brief and sometimes the impact is so little. I was a fan of Brett Favre and people still wear his jersey, it's a nostalgic feeling and WWE is forced to exploit it even more than any sports would have too because they don't produce a new team every single year.

Did you not sense the excitement and the pop when Rock returned? I bet a nWo return would receive the same reaction. Admit it, this current era is shit. Like I said, 4 genric, stale main eventers, 23 glorified jobbers and fucking Kane.
