Re: Randy Orton and his Two Belts

They should just use Zack Ryder's Internet Championship :matt

In seriousness I remember it being posted on here that the unification isn't meant to be permanent and the reason there are still 2 titles is they are splitting them after WM again.

Re: Randy Orton and his Two Belts

Randy's lack of pants appeals to the female demographic. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that their market research told them so.

Re: Randy Orton and his Two Belts

I remember in a recent interview he said he's not a fan of the trunks, and if he was starting out now he would be wearing longer tights, but because he's been wearing trunks his entire career he just continues to do so. It makes sense though, if I ever saw Randy Orton come out in long tights I'd be like :ksi2

I don't care what Google search says. I was a huge fan of Jericho during his heel run from 2001-2003, and I know for a fact that he was never a double champion. He just carried around two title belts to gloat every week.

If you read Jericho's book Undisputed, he was pissed that Triple H was given the Undisputed Championship belt almost as soon as he won it, when Jericho had to carry the two titles for over three months.

Re: Randy Orton and his Two Belts

Why the hell are people concerned whether Orton is wearing pants or not every week? Is this some sort of inside joke that I'm missing out on?

Jericho = Undisputed Champion. Nuff said.

To lift the belts above his head during his celebration, Orton had to remove the belts from the "metal thing". And more importantly, the winner would be whoever retrieves the titles. Nowhere in the rules does it say the belts need to be unhooked to win the match.

I'm not complaining, though. Two belts is badass and I think is cool heading into WrestleMania 30. They did it with the tag belts for a while and that worked out till they got the new ones.

But really, the WWE Title that they just made is probably what they will go with, or at least an updated version of it.
I'm not sure why they didn't just wait to introduce the new WWE title belt until after they'd actually unified the championships.

I kinda hope they honor the WHC by having a 'big gold' motif behind the WWE logo on the belt instead of the leather. Photoshop, anyone?

Personally, I think the phrase 'WWE World Heavyweight Champion' makes whoever holds it sound like the goddamn boss. 'WWE champion' sounds too generic, since technically, everyone in the WWE with a belt is a WWE champion.

I reckon 'WWE World Champion' will be what we end up with. Still honors the WHC, but less of a mouthful.

Also, the intercontinental title actually has all 7 continents on it, so it sort of counts as a world title anyway!
