To be fair, at this point in time, I'd rather take WCW from 99 to 2001 over what the current product is lol.

Re: This is the worst WWE has been... BULLSHIT!

I don't think this year is the worst it has been. Seen some god awful years around 93-95. Got to say this is a disappointing year. It started with so much hope and fell apart after Summerslam. I liked the Authority angle because it had so much promise. I even liked the fact that they screwed over Bryan time and time again. The problem was the way they threw the Big Show into some Stone Cold role. Going from a whiny bitch to a bad ass does make some sense to to the fact that when you push people to the edge they come swinging away, due to the fact when you lost everything, you have nothing to lose. Title unification does make some sense, but I have a feeling they're just going to swap titles and probably the unification will happen at the Royal Rumble. I do like that there appears to be a solid Tag Team division shaping up. Like the rest of the board I'm disappointed in the fact there aren't many story lines outside of the Authority.

There is some potential going into WM season. Got a potential Wyatt's-Shield feud brewing. Title Unification will reshape the title picture and potentially could create some better feuds as the roster is chasing just 1 belt.

The problem with some of you is that you talk like WWE is just Raw, and Raw in 2009 was bad-Cena/Orton, guest GMs, etc etc. But ECW and Smackdown were pretty good, and Superstars wasn't that pointless back then. Right now Raw is bad, Smackdown is bad, Main Event is bad, Superstars is bad and only NXT is okay.

I was quite enjoying the bit after WM and up until Summerslam. Then look what happened.

Re: This is the worst WWE has been... BULLSHIT!

why do they even have guys like JTG, Curt Hawkins, Tyson Kidd, and all those guys on that level if they don't ever plan on moving them up? why do they keep them employed? Also, there might not be another number one guy because with the investors the WWE needs to impress, they can't afford for push a guy to the top and rely on him anymore. So they have to keep trying new guys at the top in order to keep giving money to their investors...so they have to keep pushing different guys, there might not be another era dominated by the same guy over and over again in the future due to the fact that the WWE is corporate now.

WWE is in a shit-state at the moment without a question, but this is not the worst it has ever been. The only reason people say that is because HHH, Orton, Show, Cena are on top and the divas division is once again an embarrassment.

I could never imagine sitting through 2007 - 2009 again with the likes of Batista vs Khali, Undertaker vs Kozlov. Jeff Hardy and Punk saved me from boredom in 2009 atleast.

Don't even get me started on the Orton/Cena feud. 2008 was completely forgettable aswell. Nothing actually stands out in that year.
100% agree with you. We are on the dawn of a new era, one which has potential to surpass even the attitude era, potential mind you, potential.

Re: This is the worst WWE has been... BULLSHIT!

Say what you want about the booking, but I have a real problem with the live crowds as of late. They completely shit all over anything that is not Daniel Bryan in the main event. And not in a justifiable way where you could confidently state that the segment was horrible, such as a dance-off segment.

Even during a main event promo after a PPV, where it is not obvious which the next feud will be, the crowd completely shits all over the segment before it even gets started with a "Daniel Bryan" and "Yes" chant. To me, this is extremely disrespectful to the performers in the ring.

Could you see this happening back in 2004 when Triple H and Shawn Michaels were feuding for what seemed like the one-hundredth time? Imagine an "Eddie" or "Benoit" chant randomly breaking out in that situation. It would be disrespectful then, just as it is now.

And in case you blind marks still don't get it, just imagine a main event with Bryan and Punk, only for "Ziggler" chants to break out. Would that be acceptable?

If the fans want Bryan in the main event, then cheer him during his segments and buy his merchandise. Sabotaging the whole show just because your favorite wrestler is not the champion is really petty, and I don't see why the people on this forum are tolerating it.

I woulden't say they're intentionally sabotaging the show, but disagreeing with WWE's booking. Clearly the people at the PPV didn't want Big Show in Bryan's spot, but if it was HBK or something, they would not have chanted "Bryan". Or even Cena. If it was Cena, they'd just have booed.
But people have so little respect for Big Show at this point that they'll chant Bryan during his match.... Disrespectful? Maybe. Voicing their displeasure at the booking? Absolutely. They paid for their ticket. They have that right.
