Re: OMG THE CENA/PUNK MATCH FROM RAW WAS SO AMAZING

What do people think of Cena's hurricanrana? On first viewing I thought he botched it, but the replays don't look that bad. I think it might be me expecting a botch and seeing one where there isn't one.

The piledriver made everything worthwhile. The powerbomb was nice, Cena's flying leg drop was nice, the finish was believable. The result was predictable but that's true for a lot of wrestling matches, probably most of them. When it's that way, the two guys just have to put on a good show and they did.

I really enjoy the Punk/Cena matches. You can't just have Punk win all the time, sometimes clean, mostly skanking it. Cena is the face and has to pick up his own clean win every now and then at least. That's how wrestling works.

That and Cena's horrible spot calling (as usual) were the only legitimate flaws of the match in my eyes.

The fact he did it though he can't do it properly was insulting.

He does seem to struggle when he steps out of his comfort zone with certain moves. Remember when he couldn't even pull off Punk's running knee to the face a while back when they swapped moves during a match? It was cringe-worthy.

Maybe all the shit he cops for his 'five moves of doom' really cranks up the pressure on him when he goes to do something new.

It's because he hasn't been trained to do those manoeuvres lol. I'm sure if he actually put effort into learning to wrestle past his repertoire he'd be able to do it. He's just lazy which is why I don't respect him.

Re: OMG THE CENA/PUNK MATCH FROM RAW WAS SO AMAZING

Despite the insistence of just about everyone else, I maintain the huracanrana was an ill planned move especially in the confines of the finishing stretch as it's a move that takes just as much work from both individuals thus detracts from the realism in that end-of match scenario. And that's not even addressing the botch.

I love professional-wrestling.

Re: OMG THE CENA/PUNK MATCH FROM RAW WAS SO AMAZING

I actaully didnt mind the finish. It would have pissed me off more if cena won just with a simple aa or that abortion of a hold he calls the stf. Even though punk lost he came out of that match looking strong, unlike the match with rock where he lost simply to a peoples elbow. He gained some credability back imo

Good match, but not great. I'd give it three stars out of five.

Re: OMG THE CENA/PUNK MATCH FROM RAW WAS SO AMAZING

It was great match I enjoyed. Why is this in rants? Go moan in the raw section. So what you knew Cena was winning? I still enjoyed it and I Rock vs Cena 2 is going to be shit. It is called being able to enjoy a match for just that: Being a match.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm going to be happy when Cena beats Rock at Wrestlemaina.
