I agree sort of, but this isn't sudden Rock hate. The same people that have disliked him before still dislike him now, they're just more vocal. There are those who have became displeased with The Rock due to several reasons:

1.He's the champion even though he's part time
2.He hasn't put anyone over (although I'd argue that Punk has been put over just for working a feud with The Rock)
3.He gets gassed too early (which I think is ridiculous, I watched the Rumble match and he didn't look gassed in the slightest).
4.Some of his comedy has been poor (which is true, but for the most part he's great)

It's cool though, people can have their opinions. I may not agree and engage in arguments over it, but it's still their opinion. I know The Rock's great, some people are overly negative, some people have their reasons for disliking him, and no one's opinion is changing. Better get used to it, because Rock hate really isn't running rampant around here as much as you say it is. I'm pretty sure everyone appreciates him.

I don't hate Rock, but he's gotten stale. His material isn't what it use to be, and he just doesn't look the same. The initial nostalgia has wore off for me. But what evs, he makes money.

Well, let's imagine you like watching wrestler X. But he doesn't have much fans, and might get de-pushed or barely showing up anymore on TV.

However, Rock returning brings in a few more viewers, and wrestler X also gets a bunch of new fans along the way.

He starts getting cheered, more signs of him in the crowd, moving more merch, etc;

He gets pushed because of it.

Why wouldn't you care about something like this?

Noyk I don't give a flying fuck how much so and so sell or whatever. I care about them being entertaining which for me the Rock is not as good as he used to be. Tbh I would not mind him having the title if he was going to put someone else over then Cena. But all the Rock is to WWE is a short term fix and instead of using him to build long term stars they are only using him to make Punk look good which I agree with but he won't be here in the near future or Cena who does not fucking need it.

Also Noyk not everyone is Pryo and how can you guarantee that because the Rock appears someone gains new fans? The new people watching might hate your fav superstars and then they get less of a reaction. I don't give a fuck about sales as long as WWE stay in business I am happy. Ratings and buyrates mean fuck all to average fans.

This sums up what is not only wrong with WWE but with football as well.

I don't get the Rock hate either. I think it's ultimately due to people trying to find any excuse to complain about something.

I meant that the success of Rock's return should be long term, where old fans are returning and will stay after the Rock's long gone.
Short term success for Rock's return are simply high ratings for his segments on RAW and improved buyrates for the ppvs he appears on.

Right now we're looking at a short term success.

oh wait, he hasn't. the casual fan might like the rock, but wwe is also forcing that same casual fan to sit through close to 3 hours of utter, utter shit to get to the rock. how appealing to the casual.

and viewers shouldn't give a flying fuck about ratings. if you do, you're a fucking retard. you really, really are. only watching wwe because it's the big league and ignoring tremendous stuff coming out of pwg, chikara and njpw, yep, you guessed it, you're a fucking retard too.
