Ok I'll take your word for it since you've explained it pretty good. In the heat of the moment the situation may not play out as you describe, but fair enough. Lets just hope you stop them, cuz if not you may get mistakenly pointed out as being in on it.
I can see it now.......
Police: So you're telling me that you just so happened to bring a gun to the mall and open fire at the same time as that other guy and you had nothing to do with this?
Glass Shatters: Well actually officer I always bring my gun to the mall just in case a situation like this occurs.
Police: Get this guy outta here. Tell it to the judge along with your buddy, who already told us that you guys planned this out.

Guys like Stuart82 and Bigwwefan and a few others just dealt in too much logic and had too many facts to hand for him to be able to handle it.

The difference is he didn't open fire. In my scenario, you do open fire but don't hit the assailant. All people know is that you had a gun and were shooting too. Nobody's gonna stick around and see who you're shooting at, they're all trying to get the fuck away. Whoever is right there got shot so they probably don't know your intentions.

How do they know that he did or didn't fire if no one stuck around to see it as you outline in this scenario? Because he said so?
Look bro, the police are going to have eyewitness reports of the first person to open fire or publicly point a gun. A ballistics test combined with eyewitness accounts and camera activity from the mall will later prove who was an assailant and who was a reactor. Open and concealed carry is applauded in many states, for the very reason listed in the article. You can stop arguing with me and throwing out ridiculous "what if" scenarios. |
