Now that I think about it, there are quite a few people that I have never spoken too about wrestling either. I've talked with Bully about wrestling a few times, back when the Jobbers thread was still in rants, but I don't think I've ever talked to a lot of the other Rants regulars about wrestling all too often. Not many people from here seemingly venture to the north part of the forum. Occasionally Catalanotto will post something but that's usually in reply to someone else saying something dumb. How many people here you think even know who Dino Bravo is anymore, for example? It's sad to me.
Never talked to SrsLii, Seabs, HayleySabin or Crimson about wrestling either that I can remember, unless it was just small talk in the Chatbox maybe. Maybe I should go into the "Other Wrestling" section a lot more often.
I like what SrsLii was saying about weeding out the one word/one sentence replies. I have thought the same thing for awhile. I love talking about old school NWA or even mid-90's ECW or early 90's AJPW. But you make a thread about it & it always turns into a discussion about Attitude Era WWF with people arguing over Rock & Stone Cold. I just wanna talk about Mid-South Duggan or One Man Gang or DiBiase.
It's not always just about WWF or The Rock.
I like the idea of there being a new section for wrestling discussion only. Have it so only mods/admins can make a thread. Then, every week or every couple of days, have a mod/admin make a thread & regular forum users can reply to it. Enforce basic rules like you have to stay on topic, can't reply if you're unfamiliar with that particular subject, have to type at least a paragraph, must use proper grammar/punctuation, have to actually read the OP & replies before replying, etc. Give that particular section more/different rules than the rest of the forum & enforce them pretty heavily. I think trying to "clean up" the other sections is a lost cause at this point but started a new section & building it from the ground up is possible. Maybe even get a couple new mods to enforce the rules if the current staff is already too busy doing other stuff.

I'm sorry for your loss.
