Sounds like her mindset on it. I offered, she refused, and then proceeded to be the performer. It's like I got rewarded for being a boyfriend who wanted
to give back. Wasn't a bad deal. I won't lie.
Could be. I'll take your word on it from a dame to dame perspective. Only, she was a very blunt person so she was generally open and had a good relationship with her family. But, she was a bit of a knucklehead due to immaturity on some fronts. I think that's all it was. Got in that mindset, like you said, that it simply wasn't anything she was into and therefore didn't go down. Literally. (ha)
I hate when dames do that. Especially when they're universally considering a looker. I know opinion rivals that all the time, but you get what I mean. She's attractive. There is no way getting around that. She wasn't very bad at it, but she had those days where she'll make the "oh, if only I was pretty" remark. It's like AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH why? I've never been the moron to try and figure dames out, but being a guy who's had quite a few of them confide in me, I've gotten a tiny bit of information with them. So, I just don't know how that comes into play. It's all psychological and on that person of course. I know I have all of my intricate traits, quirks and idiosyncrasies that she, or anyone else, didn't quite get. Comes with each person.
And that's what I did. I wasn't going to try and change her mind. Only make sure she's happy with me at the time of our relationship. Considering the way things ended - cue another Seinfeld moment here - it was so mutual I couldn't believe it. Then the eventual back together slip up happened and *gasp*
I ended it following. She'll have a place in my heart, but the sense of love was gone you know? I think it was young puppy love for the majority as it is. Was fun for the time it lasted of course.
